I don’t have dandruff, but I do have psoriasis. It’s largely controlled with UV therapy and BHAs, but I somehow wind up getting a bit on my scalp, and every week or so I feel the itching starting to come on. This is easily treated with one of the drugstore psoriasis shampoos...but the problem is they are super super harsh, and make my waist length hair feel like straw.
Not this. I’ve been using Oribe and Kerastase exclusively for years, and this shampoo does the job while miraculously keeping my hair in shampoo-commercial condition. With 3% salicylic acid and a veritable cornucopia of hair strengthening ingredients, it’s massively effective while still managing to feel indulgent and luxurious. It works for psoriasis. It would definitely work for dandruff, atopic dermatitis, and eczema as well.
Just be aware that if you are sensitive to fragrance, this product is infused with Oribe’s signature (incredible) Cote d’Azur Scent by the boatload. I adore it, but those with skin and scalp that react badly to fragrance may not.
One star off for the price. Oribe is beyond quality and I’ve been a huge fan for years, but I cringe every time I hit “purchase” with any of their products.
I’m a huge fan of Oribe products, but this isn’t the most effective. I’ve been using the shampoo and conditioner for a couple weeks now and I’m not really noticing a difference. Great scent, but I’m definitely going to need to find a better product for my scalp
I love this shampoo. It has helped my itchy scalp sooooo much. I have insanely thick, course hair that gets icky dandruff build-up just by looking at it weird. This shampoo has helped so much and I can finally wear a black shirt without worrying about a snow storm on my shoulders. I was really dubious about it due to the price, but had had great luck with Oribe products so decided to try it. Totally worth it! I would highly recommend to anyone.
I used this product twice, but I am returning it. It smells pretty, but it irritated my Scalp and caused an increase in dandruff and oil, which left my hair feeling itchy and heavy. I do suggest you try it, but be aware you may need to return it based on your own results.
The scent is pure heaven! This seems like a good shampoo, although I can’t really tell it’s done anything different or helped my flaky scalp problem. Summer is always bad from the sun, so I’m on the hunt for a GOOD product that really works. Don’t think this one was it, sadly. I cant get over how amazing the smell is tho!
My hair needed a break from Pureology. The ends were dry. My hairdresser swears by this stuff so I bought it. It helped with my dry ends and my hair feels great. But it's SO expensive! I believe it to be authentic.
Smells amazing, however it doesn't work as well as Philip B's anti-flake II which doesn't smell great. I will continue to use on alternate days or in conjunction. ORIBE products have incredible ingredients and I've been using them for a long time.
I ordered this because my scalp skin is really really dry. Salicylic acid is the active ingredient and that is a drying agent. It makes my skin even flakier and itchier. Everyone raves about the smell of this, and I find it to be too subtle and nothing special. I'm really disappointed because this is really expensive shampoo and now I don't know what to do with it :(
Our teen lad has a dandruff issue. I bought this because he loves nice products! - and - well, the dandruff. He's saying it's working. I interview him from time to time on its performance. According to a 15 year old boy - "it's good." - According to me - It smells DIVINE whenever he uses it - it wafts from the shower room and creates a heavenly scent.
