Okay so the good things....
They work! They work with Hue perfectly (note you do not need to install any 3rd party applications from the app store to add these, you can do it just fine by putting them close to the hue bridge and then scanning from within the Philips hue app, no dodgy installation required).
The bad things... The plug is moulded, so if you were going to put them through a wall you'd need to cut the cable. If you wanted to wall mount them you're out of luck! The only option really is the ground spike or having them power a plug (via RCD) to an outside socket. But note that the click when you switch them on and off is really loud, so if it's in the living room and you're watching a scary film, be prepared! You may just find yourself shouting curse words ;)
