Product description

Commercial grade t-shirt transfer paper for black and dark colour fabrics in A4 by Photo Paper Direct ( PPD ). Create custom designs that can include text, images or the two combined. Transfer these designs onto a wide range of fabrics, textiles and clothing such as t-shirt, aprons, pillow cases, fabric labels, baby grows and others, limited only by your imagination.

  • Transfer customised design onto dark and black colour fabrics. If you are looking to transfer onto white and light colours, we also carry these in our Amazon store
  • If using an iron, use a solid, heat resistant, flat surface when applying heat (Solid Table, Work Top, Floor or similar – Ironing board CANNOT BE USED)
  • When the transfer is exposed to heat (from an iron or heatpress), the design is released onto the fabric of choice
  • You can peel the transfer when HOT or COLD
  • Peeling hot will result in a matt finish, while peeling cold (room temperature) will result in gloss finish

  • Printer and Ink - all Inkjet printers using every day normal inks
  • Heat Transfer - use a domestic iron (1400w or higher) OR heat press machine (for commercial use)
  • Fabric - can include a wide range of garments such as Cotton, Viscose, Polyester, Silk etc as long as they do not melt from heat

In the Pack:

  • Step-by-step printed transfer instructions including printer settings
  • Reusable silicon sheet which helps make the transfer incredibly durable
  • PPD t-shirt transfer paper x 10 sheets

No experience needed. The pack comes with full instructions.

Used this to make 5 identical t-shirts as my “work uniform” - I’m a decorator.

The instructions say a couple of things I’m unsure of - like “you can’t apply too much pressure with the iron” well in my experience you can and it results in patchy places - I would go very slowely over with the iron and not put any pressure beyond the iron’s weight itself - but then again I do have a very good iron so maybe mine’s hotter than most.

Time for application “3 minutes” again - I’m not sure. Once the top sheet of baking paper starts to look loose I’d stop

Couple of tips:

Round off slightly any corners (see pic) as this will make them less likely to peel up

Removing the Backing paper before ironing (dark fabric) is like wrestling with Satan. Consider how you’re going to do this - I left a bit of extra white - partially peeled it back and cut a bit off the backing paper then cut the white off - thus making a peel here bit. If you start trying to remove the backing paper and you’ve cut down your image to size you’re gonna have problems

So I had high hopes after seeing reviews, but i used a high quality image, stop spec printer, followed the instructions to a T and I still got results that left much to be desired. The transfer paper was just over powered by the black fabric and the colours that originally popped and were vibrant are now washed out. Luckily I bought this sweatshirt on sale to test out the transfer paper so not the biggest loss, but still disappointing. Also the area where the tracing paper (or whatever its called) was changed colour even though there was no image there to transfer, don know if this will correct itself in the wash but it is noticeable that the black fabric there is different from the rest of the sweatshirt now.
