I was looking for a headset to use with my Ooma HD2 for hands-free operation, and this works great with it.

The Good Parts

* Works for lefties and righties
* Adjustable
* Sound quality is pretty good, but I'm sure part of the quality equation is how good the phone is as well
* Build quality seems good. Definitely more trustworthy than a no-name brand.
* Inline volume controls and mute
* Outer earpiece is padded and is NOT made of foam, which will eventually disintegrate. The inner part, however, is covered with a layer of foam, but if it disintegrates, it doesn't mean that you have to replace the entire headset.
* Reasonably priced
* Wired is generally more reliable than wireless. Cord length is fairly generous.

Could Be Better

* Comfort is subjective, and I would say that it is "OK" at best
* Would have preferred a binaural style headset for better comfort
* The location of the controls on the wire could be better. Personally, I prefer them to be closer to the jack than the headset because I use them at a desk. I would prefer that they sit on the desk.
* The mute button is press and hold style. I would have preferred a slider switch

I find that the audio quality is excellent and the microphone is clear on the other end of the call. I use it for all my long conversations when I work from home using my Panasonic cordless phone and the office uses them with their Panasonic business phones. This is my second Panasonic headset as I wore out my first one after many years of use.

Good sound quality, but cannot lock the mute button.

I was pleased with the sound quality of the phone. I discovered that the sound was much better than when using my phone's speakers.

My one disappointment was that you have to keep pressing the mute button for it to remain on mute. There isn't a way to lock the phone on mute. Since I am often on conference calls in which I'm actually speaking only 1/10th of the time, not being able to lock the phone on mute greatly reduces the benefits of the mute function.

I choose to give the Panasonic KX-TCA430 Over the Head Headset five stars because they are the best headset I have ever owned...and I have owned tons over the years.

The clarity of the Panasonic KX-TCA430 Headset is incredible! I am hard of hearing, with the Panasonic KX-TCA430 Headset, you would never know it. My family and friends no longer have to repeat themselves or speak over their normal voice volume. This amazing product has not only become beneficial to me but also to those that call me. My 84 yr old Mother no longer complains that I am cutting out.

The Panasonic KX-TCA430 Headset comes with a volume/mute button located on the cord; easily accessible. It also comes with a adjustable clip...clip the cord to your clothing to keep it out of your way while you work with your hands.

I have gone through tons of headsets in the past 17 years, in search of that perfect headset that would at leas last for more than two months. Well folks, I am here to tell you that my phone headset hunting days are finally over!

I recommend the Panasonic KX-TCA430 Over the Head Headset to everyone!
