Really nice read through on a wide variety of perennials. Cons I don’t know if it’s an error in printing or if it’s just this book. But all my pages are unnumbered, which makes jumping to a section somewhat time consuming. I need to find each chapter myself & then the page I’m looking for. Other than that one issue overall I’m happy with the information in this book and would recommend it to people just starting out or that would like a little more knowledge on perennials.
I am working on improving my green thumb and know quite a bit about annual plants, but do not know much about perennial gardening. I didn’t know that there were so many different kinds of perennial plants. There are perennials for vegetables, flowers, grasses, shrubs, foliage, bulbs, herbs, fruits and berries, etc. For all of these the author did a great job addressing what they are and how to plant them. The book also discussed how to care and maintain a perennial garden indoors and outdoors. With the sun shining and the warmer temperatures arriving, I am definitely going to look into planting a perennial garden. This book makes it easy for anyone to plant their own perennial garden, even a novice green thumb gardener like myself.
