Philips LED light bulbs provide a beautiful, warm white light, an exceptionally long life and immediate, significant energy savings. The colour rendering index (CRI) is used to describe the effect of a light source on colour appearance. Natural outdoor light has a CRI of 100 and is used as the standard of comparison for any other light source. The CRI of Philips LED light bulbs is always higher than 80, close to the sun's value, reflecting colours truly and naturally. No need to wait: Philips LED light bulbs provide their full level of brightness immediately upon switching on.Save up to 80% energy compared to your standard bulb. It pays for itself and saves you money year after year. So reduce your energy bill and start saving now.Familiar shapes are a perfect fit for your fixtures: we have retained the shapes and appearance of the classic light bulb.

Ein weiterer Ausfall nach 13 Monaten, die beworbenen 15000 h bzw 50000 Schaltungen werden definitiv nicht gehalten - schwach!
LED bulbs have dropped massively over the years and on average now cost between £5 and £7 for household bulbs of different sizes and wattages.
The 100w bulb is very bright, I have have three in two seperate living room lights and it's like daylight in the middle of the night. Everyone that has seen them comment on how bright they are.
Overall very pleased with the bulbs.
If anyone was searching for the “Grail bulb” more than myself (since incandescents were sent packing by the EU regulations), I have yet to meet you. No doubt, we have a lot in common. I cannot tell you how many d#%^d bulbs I bought and had to send back, exchange or bin. (See my previous review for corn cob bulbs...ugh!) If one lives in England, one must have bright cheery lighting for those long, dark winter nights. If one is an avid reader (as I am), one must also have good lighting. I was not optimistic when I got these, but the reviews looked promising. I held my breath when I put the bulb in the lamp socket. (I think there was a mental drum roll). Well, hallelujah and bring on the chorus! There was light! Bright light! Warm (not green) light! Light that turned on with the flick of switch (not two days from next Sunday)...absolutely fantastic closest-to-incandescent truebee-dobee-doo LIGHT! Absolutely over the neon lit moon with these...order these, order them now! Especially if your rooms look soupy green and you can’t read a newspaper without a torch at night. Now, I can relax and know that the winter won’t be one dark, endless night. With my quest for the perfect bulb over, and so much time on my hands, I now must take up flamenco.
PS I can’t attest for longevity or efficiency. If they blow out soon, I’ll put down my castanets and leave an edited review. For now...happy, happy! (Just look at that bright warm light on the ceiling! Hooray!)
Update from lockdown, March 25, 2020:
It’s a great bulb...the winter was warm and bright inside the house...no complaints. Spring is here and the days are getting longer. Still flamenco dancing in the light mostly to keep the neighbours entertained/horrified albeit from behind the picture window of my house. What else is there to do in lockdown? Exactly. (Love these bulbs).
I was refused a partial refund and offered a replacement pack of 6.
that arrived with 3 of 6 DOA, a 50% defective date.
I am now very skeptical as to how long the "working" ones will continue to work
