If you look at the Philips supplied image ( on the box ) you see light emitting from at least 90% % of the vertical filter. In fact it only goes about 60% of the height meaning Philips Photoshopped it ( cheats ).
I would suggest this would be a perfect product if it had 2 x E27 slots inside, one pointing down and one up. You don't have to include 2 bulbs but it would be nice to be able to increase luminosity and have the light look like the dodgy image Philips provide.
The light is not as bright as the sealed LED outdoor options which have around 300 lm more output than these 800ish lm bulbs do but they are cheaper.

I was a little disappointed as this is just an external housing containing a hue bulb. I was expected this to be more advanced. Really I could have just bought any external housing and just used a hue white bulb.
PS I bought the non Hue model and fitted it with a Hue Bulb. Working fine now for the last month or so. Confirmed really there is no need to buy this particular model.

Dies ist meine erste Rezession, aber dieses Produkt ist unglaublich. Es ist eine einfache Birne mit großer Fassung in der Lampe. Daher ist diese (natürlich) nur halb beleuchtet, da auf der Oberseite der Birnensockel ist. Zu dieser Konstruktion fällt mir wirklich nichts ein.

Diese Lampe ist eine totale Frechheit, fast ein Betrug, den Hue Turaco ist keine Hue Lampe für Draußen entwickelt, sondern eine Philips myGarden Wandleuchte Bridge ( https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0085JZ7YM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_601VCb8RQ1DWX ) für aktuell 32 Euro und eine Hue White E27 LED Lampe ( https://www.amazon.de/dp/B0152WXI0E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_p31VCb22N0CRG ) für aktuell 16 Euro. Für weniger Geld hat man also alles zusammen und eine Energiesparlampe von der Bridge übrig. Ich habe viele Hue Produkte, bin mit alle zufrieden, dies ist aber ein totaler Reinfall.

Yes, I will mimic what other reviewers have said - this is for all intents and purposes a standard outdoor light enclosure with a Philips Hue bulb included. But I don’t think this diminishes the product in any way.

Of course you could buy any light enclosure, and there are many that are cheaper than this, but if you subtract the cost of the Hue bulb that is included then it’s really not so bad.

The unit is quality, reasonably lightweight, and easy to install. But most importantly it’s actually made to fit the slightly larger size of the Hue bulb.

Everything easily paired with my existing Hue bridge, even from outside. The light shines brightly through the opaque enclosure and lights the vicinity pretty well.

I would recommend this product.

Fantastic lights, so good I got another.. now my garden is perfectly lit. Using the Hue app I’ve set a timer and they manage themselves..

They look modern and vice a good light without being overpowering on 100%.
