I’m HOOKED on these bulbs and use all the options to enjoy gaming, movies, and music more with some mood lighting. As seen in my photo, great when you went to feel festive!
Can’t say enough good things, really.
The versatility of being able to fade them in at sunrise and sunset is great, along with geo-fencing. Once you get these set up you can also integrate them with heaps of other services by using the IFTTT service. You open up so many possibilities.
The only hurdle is the price. If you can get these on a sale, it's a no-brainer.
Philips need to develop some sort of wall switch for these that can replace existing physical hardwired switches, allowing the switch to trigger an on/off without cutting power to the bulb.
Colour range is excellent and the brightness is good - very easy to install and pair new bulbs to the bridge
The app works well, but I wish you could bridge scenes to multiple rooms simultaneously, for example, I have an open plan kitchen dining & living room, with 4 separate 'rooms' in the app - i would like to be able to bridge these to one zone so I can set colours etc across the whole area, but still turn off individual area's as required.
Very Easy to setup and get working and linked to various home automation devices/apps.
Scenes are great for movies and before bed etc.
Only complaints would be;
Home Automation - Its hard to get the family used to not using normal light switch on the wall to turn them on and off and using; Alexa, Phillips app or Phillips switches.
Globe Brightness - If you have an open plan/large rooms these globes are the brightest in semi-light conditions, with normal white light and Colours will be fairly ineffective. Perfectly fine at night in full dark conditions for both White and Colours.
Delivery in this instance was terrible - took about 2 weeks. But the product and the range that it belongs to are very good and very easy to set up. My husband loves them. I was happy with a switch but I'm coming around slowly :)
