A quality windscreen mount.

I had heard good reviews about the Dock & Go, and I haven't been disappointed by mine. I own an iPhone 6 Plus in quite a heavy, bulky protective case. So I was concerned that the mount would not be robust enough to hold such a heavy combination. I was also worried by the fact that it is the bottom arm of the mount that is the spring loaded moving part, so wondered if a decent bounce in the car would see the phone jump out of the jaws. But the Dock & Go suffers from none of those things. The jaws hold the phone, even in it's large case, very securely and allow it to be positioned and then held rock solid. The one handed insert and remove design is very handy, but my favorite feature is just how securely the dock fastens to the windscreen glass. The suction cup isn't the generic type you see on almost every other mount. Instead it uses some sort of ultra sticky, flexible material that seals airtight when you press in the dock's suction lever. In fact, rather than worry about the dock falling off the windscreen and taking my smartphone with it. I'm actually now more concerned about how I will ever get the unit off my windscreen in the future. It's a quality mount, and if it holds my phone and armored case, it will definitely hold yours.

I was looking for a robust phone holder for my iPhone 8plus which would accommodate the big phone and it’s chunky anti-shock case. After trying and failing with several other designs I found this one and it works a treat! It is perfect for using the phone as a sat nav and it even fixes to the dash securely instead of the screen. This feature is especially useful as the design on my windscreen means attaching it to there would be impractical. The claw like phone holder securely grips the device and it will easily withstand bumpy roads, corners and general day to day driving without falling into the footwell! Very impressed and would definitely recommend this device.

This Olixar we bought because we read a very satisfied review, and preferred not to have to fix it to the windscreen in a motorhome with a screen blind that entails removing the phone holder each time before using the blind. The Olixar is very compact, fits on the dashboard, easily enables portrait or landscape use of the phone, used mainly for sat-nav. The adhesion of the gel base is so strong that suction is simply extra security. We still have to use it on journeys, and have yet to find out whether removing the holder is seriously difficult or damaging, but it looks as if this design is something far superior to any that we have previously come across. Amazingly low price for such advanced design, and we will probably buy another for our car, so we don't have to disturb the amazing adhesion on the first unit. We are expecting to find this trouble-free, compact, unobtrusive and very convenient in use.

Cannot adjust it to the correct angle for dash cam use

I want to use an iPhone dash cam app. My BMW 3 series 2013 dashboard is textured and this will not stick to it. I cannot adjust it to the correct angle on my windscreen. I see far too much car bonnet and not enough road. I have tried unclipping the bracket and turning it 180deg but still the fixed part of the bracket prevents the moving part from tilting up enough. I tried it in every possible position of the windscreen, left, middle, right, high & low. I have asked a question here but there is no reply box to the answers so apologies to those who took the time to answer me. I have emailed Olixar but had no response so far. I will have to return this as unsuitable.

Having bought over 3 of these Im now seeing a pattern with an issue. Ive had 2 break now and theyve been replaced but thought id share with Olixar and their customers. I place my holder in the windscreen which is a great place for my phone an S8. The problem comes when we have good weather, the heat throught the window appears to heat the phone holder to such an extent that it weaken the ball joint connection as you'll see form my photo. I think this is a design flaw and needs to be addressed, i was just placing my phone in the clip when it snapped again. Olixar i think you need to consider a thicker connection between clamp and holder? Other than this i think the holder is excellent but at £14.99 i cant afford to replace it twice a year.
