My second IPOd nano packed up and I needed a replacement but couldnt afford the apple prices. I thought these looked like a cheap rip off but worth a risk. Firstly this is no IPOD nano replacement. The inbuilt software and navigation isnt a patch on the apple device and it doesnt have podcast support. The screen display isnt a patch on the IPOD and it is not touch screen either. Sound quality is Ok but again it is not even close to the Nano and when plugged into external speakers it is a lot quieter. On the plus side it has 32BGB of memory and its easy to add files through explorer. A problem with the apple device which relies on ITUNES. The provided headphones are OK and no worse than the stuff apple gives you but sound worse as the player isnt as good. I had Aftermarket ear buds on the Nano that cost 5 times more than this player and they were incredible. Havent tried them on this. It took me a long while to figure out how to get a particular track or folder to play as it is not obvious but I eventually figured it out. This was a deal breaker for me and I was all set to buy something else. The included user manual is Junk. You have to stop the track playing Press Menu till you get folder Use the left and right arrows to navigate to the folder you want select with menu Navigate to a track within that folder Press Menu Press the central button You get what you pay for but if you just want something to listen too when doing the garden, having a bath or down at the gym your 20 dollars is well spent
This thing is a TOTAL waste of money. Navigation takes some getting used to, but possible with trial and error. Instructions leave allot to be desired. If manufacturing really needs to save money by not printing instructions they should at least put something in the internet. I am returning this item because it consistently shuts off and resets. Not talking about something as simple as stops playing music, it resets all the settings so you have to go through set up and navigate through everything just to play the music you where listening to in the first place. Oh wait..... after all that, it just reset again after 20 seconds of play time and now you get to start over. One good thing is that it does have a FM radio player (which is also affected by resets and shut downs). But wait, after having reception of local stations for the past couple weeks, now all i get is static. So much for the good thing. The shut downs and resets are unpredictable in their consistency. One day it works fine but the next day it's doing what it does best. If you don't have enough frustration in your life and you have too much money laying around, i recommend you go ahead and get this thing (the colors are pretty). But if you are normal, go find something else.
I got this pretty cheap and should've expected low quality. This is made out of really cheap plastic. For the most music playing devices, turning on Shuffle is done with one or two buttons/clicks, but with this you have to go through so many settings and the shuffle barely even works. What ends up happening is it will make a single shuffle playlist and that's it. Sometimes a song will play, stop and start the playlist all over again. Not to mention, somehow, even if you select a different song to start, it'll go back to that same playlist, so despite having over a hundred songs, I'd only listen to a handful of them. If you want cheap and listen to maybe 50 songs, this mp3 is for you. But don't buy if you have a lot of songs.
Although not as easy to use nor as functional as an iPod, the price is so attractive. Probably easiest to use to just let it play random, or sequential. Not easy to set it up to play certain albums, artists, genres, dates.
Very difficult to use. Nothing like the ipod nano it resembles. You have to be deliberate in how you put your files on to be able to find them. Doesn't seem to have a shuffle option. For the money, it's fine. But don't expet an ipod nano.
Can't use while charging. Doesn't have a shuffle feature when playing mp3s. Sometimes it will just shut off during playback and you have to restart playing where it started, so you have to fast forward through a bunch of mp3s to get to where it shut off.
