I am only writing this from my own experience, it did not work with my iMac. I even contacted the manufacturer and they weren't sure what the problem was. I didn't test it with other Pcs, but iMacs are pretty low powered. It would work with my video switcher, i.e. ATEM Mini, but not my iMac. So it defeated the purpose of buying this particular UPS. I recommend not to buy this if you're going to connect an iMac to it, buy the ones that are recommended in Apple community forum.
I hesitate to use the word "compact", but as UPS go, usually with a bulky SLA battery inside, the Powershield PSD650 is certainly not bulky.
I'm using mine to provide backup power for the FTTC NBN box in my garage; and also to power a simple Google device there. It has two Aussie 3-pin plug outlets. The Powershield PSD650 was definitely good value for money at AUS$100 (what seems to be a long time special price).
Really, the only thing I don't like about the PSD650 is that I can't turn the LED backlight off. It's really bright, not a problem in my garage but it might be for some people depending where their UPS is sited.
