Ici le quatuor suit les métamorphoses prismatiques de la lumière émise par la Fugue en Ut dièse mineur de Johann Sebastian Bach à travers le Quatuor à cordes no.14 de Ludwig van Beethoven et le Quatuor à cordes no.1 de Béla Bartók. "Il y a fondamentalement dans l’oeuvre de Beethoven une ligne qui se développe à partir de Bach,” note le quatuor danois, “en faisant tout exploser en une myriade de couleurs, de directions et d’opportunités différentes – à la manière d’un prisme qui divise la lumière en faisceaux.”
