I'm really glad I chose this brush set. I've had some issue with a stray hair or two, but not too much when using the first brush therefore the 4 star review. I'm still using the first brush I chose though, and have washed it 3 times so far for re-use with my primer which is the thicker gripper kind. I'm repainting the inside of the RV trailer and I wanted a fairly smooth cover with these brushes in the tight spots I cant get to with my smaller foam roller. I like the convenience of the different sizes. I would buy again.
These are the best value brushes I've ever used. The ability to cut in straight lines is awesome! I've painted a lot of interior on homes and these make it so much easier and way less time consuming. Currently painting our 1850sq ft home and ordered these about half way through and wish I would have had them all along! ♥️♥️
Waited a couple of months before I wrote a review. I have only used the large angled brush so far but I am very impressed. I have used this brush to paint my most of the trim in my house and so far it probably had 30-40 days of painting on it. I clean it well after each use using a Purdy paintbrush comb.
The brush still literally looks and performs like new. No it’s not quite as nice as my Purdy brush but, for the money, think it gives incredible performance.
Skip these and go to Lowe's or home depot and buy quality paint brushes. I'm not a painter, and had no idea what I was doing when I bought these to paint trim in my home. I quickly realized that I should have spent more money on better brushes after I had bristles shedding ALLL over my trim.
These paint brushes are so well worth the money, I have been painting a lot and bought so many paint brushes trying to find the one that works best. I purchased expensive brushes that people have recommended, but doesn’t work half as good as these. I originally bought them to use with just a base coat because they were cheap, but after using with the base coat I realized how good they work so I decided to use them for the whole job, paint goes on smoothly and no brush marks.
These are great! I've been remodeling a home for over a month and have been through quite a few brushes. THIS IS THE ONLY SET YOU'LL NEED!! They're soft enough to glide over hard to reach areas but study enough to hold up. They hold a lot of paint and there is a variety of sizes for any job. I've used them for cabinets, walls, door trim and interior doors and I could not be happier. They're inexpensive, but not cheap. Get them!
I purchased these to compare to the more expensive brushes I use. In finish work and cabinet work, I do a lot of clear polyurethane finishes on softwoods and hardwoods. My primary brush is the Wooster Pro Nylon. These are a bit stiffer and perhaps require slightly more attention for a smooth finish, but not much. I am really impressed at their quality vs price. For paints and stains, they are excellent. Note - no problem observed with the brushes losing bristles.
I've become quite the interior painter during Covid. I learned to cut in colors for a really nice pro look. This 1 inch angle brush has helped me outline walls and ceiling and not get paint on the white trim. could not find in the home improvement stores, only sole 1 1/2 and I'm not experienced enough to use without bleeding onto the trim. I have used 3 out of the 12. If using Latex paint they clean up well and brush bristles stay flat.
I did not like these brushes. They shed tons and leave a very streaky finish (due to the coarseness of the bristles, maybe). They shed a lot. I am painting a simple mural on one wall and I stopped using these altogether in favor of small paintbrushes because these were so bad. I am using wall paint (acrylic) and they are also difficult to clean unless you do it while they are sopping wet.
These brushes are ok for a quick touch up or perhaps some crafting, but don't use these for fine, detailed painting. Their bristles are not fine enough to paint without leaving large unsightly brush lines in the paint. I was using Kilz all purpose primer on a wood working project and was dismayed at how many large brush lines this brush left in the primer. I quickly pulled my old Whizz paint brush (search Amazon if interested) out of the trash and used it to finish my project. It worked better than this brand. I gave these brushes 2 stars for decent price and amazing quantity. My advice: Don't use these brushes on fine, detailed work.
