This book has developed my management skills and helped me in processing short term / long term ventures to get the fruitful result plus aided in prioritizing and organizing my tasks, prevented the miscommunication. It has assisted me in understanding the importance of project management and the four stages i.e. initial, planning, executing and closing as well as the risk factors of doing projects without the project management. It has sorted out for me in knowing the breakdown of goals for a successful project. It has taught me some strategies and ideas for organizing the projects you take on in your professional and personal life.

It doesn’t matter how big is your project and how many staff you need to give them tasks. I enjoy this book, especially when running a small business and it helps me to improve my organization skills. I like the most the table of contests about your feedback and time management. Good planning strategy starts with job description and tools that you need. Is good to visualise it as chart or table of contents or network diagrams. Very important is time analysis and financial calculation. So is worth to step by step organize your income and costs. Susan highlight also risk management as plan B, so it is worth to consider your advertisement via social media if you need to have better communication about your project. Also feedback is crucial for build-up strong position on the market. So why not to start monitor your customer relationships with table of content. Susan provides also information how to building your team and give task wisely to each member of your team. I find out what I need to be more successful with my business.
This Project Management book is so detailed and informative. I knew I should project manage a new venture but had absolutely no idea about the complexity of doing this. Susan Hollister gives very clear and detailed steps as to how to work through from beginning and planning to making a closure and completion. Finding out that you should work out every risk in detail and make plans to deal with problems if they arise was an eye opener. She explains all of the technical terms and jargon. She stresses a plan for communication so that the relevant inforamtion is availble to the people who need it is another key to success. Thanks Susan Hollister. I have learned a great deal.
Logically structured and covers most of the material you'd want, but flip flops wildy between being extremely dry and hyperbole. The fact based sections are laboured, while the qualitative sections are very wishy washy.
I enjoyed reading this book and learned more about project management. This book discussed what it is, four steps to a successful project, identify different management styles, learn different techniques to complete a project, learn about the planning stage, and the qualities it takes to be a great project manager. After I read this book, I learned that it takes a lot of different skills to be successful at project management. I was surprised, but have a better understanding about it. I believe this book would serve as a great resource for those that are already project managers.
