I thought the reviews were great. Only I don't know who these people are leaving reviews. I work with computers every day and after two days of fighting contradictory instructions on two booklets, I gave up. It's a piece of garbage and should - in this day and age - be User Friendly out of the box. My stupid phone can order me pizza, Facetime my kids and get me to Montana without a hitch but this thing? Foreign made with unintelligible instructions. Should've guessed the price was too good to be true...
Follow Up: The company customer service was very nice to deal with once we touched base. They are in China, so there is a delay. They bent over backwards to complete the return and offer me a replacement if I wanted one. They were super attentive and apologized for the trouble I went through. They were VERY pleasant to work with! The five stars is for the customer service and screen. The projector review stands.

Good projector, especially for the price but not good directions- here are some helpful hints

I sold my Qumi projector and got this one for the higher lumens. Great projector and very bright (4200 lumens) for the price but took a lot of trial and error to figure out the things I wanted the projector to do.

First, it will not pair to my iphone or ipad with a cord. I purchased an Apple cord (as they recommended) and it still didn't work. I think this is a flaw with the projector in general, not just mine?

That said, I was able to get it to pair (mirror image) my iphone and ipad. Directions on how to do this is below.

Also important to me was using a USB flash drive (stick). I tried many and it wouldn't work. After messaging the company they let me know what to try and it worked. First of all, it will not read (for playing video purposes) a USB larger than 32G. Also, the USB MUST BE in a Fat32 format. As I have a Mac, I didn't know how to get my USB sticks to a Fat32 as it isn't an option offered, that I could find anyway. I got lucky, however, and ordered a 32G Samsung USB flash drive for $10 (link here https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BPHML28/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it was formatted in Fat32. As long as the videos are in Mp4 or AVI it will play. There may be other formats that work as well but these two for sure did. Itunes movies in M4V would NOT play.

I also wanted to hook up an external speaker (although the projector is fairly loud so long as you make sure to turn the volume up all the way. If you are mirroring an iphone or ipad also make sure their volume is up all the way too). To pair a bluetooth speaker, go to "settings" and then "bluetooth" and pair the speaker. If the speaker doesn't show up, go OUT of "bluetooth" and then go back in.

To mirror to an iphone or ipad, go to "Multimedia" and then on the far right choose the option with the big "E". You must make sure the phone (or ipad) are connected to the same WiFi network as the projector. On your phone (or ipad) choose the projector on the mirroring options (looks like a TV icon at the bottom).
