We were satisfied when receiving the projector. It wasn't amazing but it did the job for a budget projector. 2 months after owning it a white spot appeared on the display which we thought initially was just dust or a mark on the lens. That yellow spot has now turned into 6 yellow spots and after doing some googling is very difficult to fix making our projector now obsolete. Bad value - even for the price you would expect the item to last longer than 3 months. We attempted to contact the seller also in regards to a refund and never heard back.

I just received the Vamvo as a gift for my birthday. We had been looking for a projector for a while and my partner settled on this one. I did not know what to expect but once we turned it on and managed to find the right spot and distance from the wall it was just amazing.
We were at the cinema at home.
We struggled a little at the beginning to be honest because the sharpness and projection orientation have to be adjusted manually but once you get the hang of it it becomes super easy to set it up anywhere.
It is perfect in full darkness for sure but we used it with low light settings as well and it's not bad at all.
I do suggest you use HD movies though to take full advantage of its capabilities.
Super easy to pack and move around. The case is the size of a small shoe box so we take it when we go on week end with friends.
It was for sure a good surprise and god knows it's not easy to pick a projector these days with the quantity of options possible.

I needed a small projector that I could take with me while travelling for work to use for presentations. This unit looked perfect, it was small and light and came with its own durable carrying case. This projector was easy and quick to setup, just plugin power and your source cable and you are good to go. It shows great picture right off the bat as well even without warming it up first!

The remote is small and convenient to use, it fits well in the hand and is small and simple enough to use during a presentation. The colours were vivid and the projector is bright enough to use even during the day. There are also a few preset modes for different colour/brightness styles as well.

I love the carrying case, it looks really stylish and has nice padding all around the inside edges to protect the projector. It also has enough room to add extra cables and my external hard drive easily.

Overall this is a very good value for a projector, I highly recommend it!

I bought this to project over a 5-6m distance to create a huge image on my windows. I can play ghostly videos for Hallow E'en and they create the image of ghosts in my windows.
At that distance, the effect only works after sunset, but it is effective.
The fan is a bit loud and the speakers inside have to work hard to compete. The air exhausted is warm, but not excessively so.
I have good picture quality connecting this to my laptop and setting the display resolution to 1280x720 (native).

This product was pretty good for the price I had purchased it for. I got it for my bedroom, instead of adding a tv. I have a little pull-down curtain, that acts as a white screen. So I use that to project the picture. I will say the overall image is beautiful. But maybe at the distance I place the projector, it gets a bit blurry around the edges. But when you are watching something you don't tend to need to look at the corners.
The sound is just okay. Nothing special, unless you blast the sound. But that's not always an option if you live with others, and have to be aware of sound levels. Would definitely recommend you adding a pair of speakers from an old computer or such. It will help give you better quality, surround sound.
So far it has not filled me or given me any issues. I keep it stored in my closet until I feel like using it. Very easy to assemble and disassemble.
I would suggest getting something like a Chromecast or fire stick to make it like a smart TV for better use.
I've had it for about 5 months now but I will update if something happens for sure..

Color quality from my phone isn't the best, it does look even better in person. The sound in this video is from the speakers of the projector. Again is very good when played loud. But if you need to turn down the volume, it's a bit hard to hear.

Decent little inexpensive projector

This isn't an $1,800 and certainly not a $5,000 projector. It doesn’t compare with a professional, business or theater projector. But that’s OK. What it is, is an inexpensive, lightweight projector that does great an home in a darkened room. Watching videos with the kids and playing video games was great, and the kids love the big-screen experience.
It was fairly dim, as I expected for the price (3800 lux does not equal 3800 lumens, it’s more like 700 lumens in my opinion—I don't have a way to measure it). But other than that it surprised me at how good it was. The zoom being fixed means you need to move the projector around a bit to find the spot that fills your wall space appropriately, and the throw is kind of long. I had to put it back quite a ways from the wall, and in a smaller room it did get in the way of at least one person being able to see the screen as the keystone and other adjustments limit where you can position it.
You can flip and mirror the picture, so ceiling and behind-the-screen mounting are all possibilities. It also has a built in multi-media player (to play pictures and movies from a USB drive). I went through the menus and the controls were pretty intuitive and the on screen menus were attractive.

Pros:
* Inexpensive
* Fast warmup (picture comes up within a few seconds)
* No cool down time
* Smallish and lightweight
* LED Bulb (which hopefully means no buying replacement bulbs)
* Included HDMI cable
* No noticeable lagging when playing videos
* Good enough quality for watching movies and casual gaming
* 3 Mo Satisfaction Guarantee and 2 Year Warranty

Cons:
* The 3800 Lux rating does not equate to anything like 3800 lumens. It definitely needs a darker room.
* While the title says "Full HD 1080P" all that means is it accepts a 1080P input, but the projector itself is a lower resolution (720P). However it scales very well to that resolution.
* The lower resolution isn't great for putting up detailed graphics or small text on a web page. However it was fine for watching movies, YouTube, and a little web browsing
* The built-in speakers weren't loud enough to be very useful
* Keystone/focus adjustment is pretty fiddly to dial in. I’m used to auto-keystone and focus—also used to having more adjustment settings. But was able to get it close enough.
* Didn't include the AAA batteries for the remote
* Fixed zoom

You might think you could get something brighter and more professional used on eBay for about this much money, and would be true: BUT chances are it would need a new $400 bulb right away, which would make that pretty expensive. In contrast the 50,000 hour bulb on this projector is a really awesome perk: time will tell if it actually lasts that long.

Overall if you want a cheap projector for use at home, and you have the ability to make the room dark, this is surprisingly good for the price. Add some good speakers and you have a really cheap, in-home, kind-of cinema experience!
