This is a wonderful book! I really enjoyed reading it. Mimi's language is very accessible and strikes the perfect balance between theory and actionable exercises and practices that you can do at home. I was always interested in Qigong and knew a little about the practice but this book beautifully opened a whole new world for me!

After I practiced Qigong for a couple of months with the help and guidance of the authors excellent DVDs „Qigong Basics and Qigong Flow“, I was looking for a deeper insight on and understanding of Qigong. However, all the books on this topic I was browsing did not seem to be what I was looking for. I was searching for a book, that on the one hand is offering a lot of background knowledge and on the other hand is not getting lost in endless details. When I found out, that Mimi was about to release a book on Qigong, I decided to wait and go for a pre-order. The waiting for me was worthwile. The book is divided into an introduction on Qigong, five chapters on each of the 5 elements and a conclusion. The chapters on the 5 elements are subdivided and give more insight on each of the respective elements, e.g. their characteristics, the organs, emotions and qualities that are related to the individual element. The chapters also include an introduction to various physical excercises (guidance and photos), meditations, visualizations and breathing practices. What really made me enjoy reading this book is -along with the content- that it is written in a comprehensive way and a beautiful clear language. Summing up, the book is exactly the mixture of pragmatic approach and depth of information on Qigong and the 5 elements I was looking for. I gained a lot of new insights and inspiration and I will definitely read the book not only once, but again and use it as a reference.And I‘m really looking forward to the publication of Mimis next book later this year :)
This is an easy to read introduction to qi gong and Chinese medicine. Mimi fills the pages with copious amounts of exercises, explanations and clear instructions to start a practice from home. Her videos online work complement the book.
