When 'Rocket to Russia' was originally released - late in 1977 - I must confess that I was a little 'Ramones Fatigued'. I thought 'Leave Home' had saw them peak, and 'Rocket' was a bit underwhelming. Of course, I realise that my response was simply youthful folly. The Ramones were still firing. This 40th Anniversary set is well up to the standard of its two predecessors, scoring high on packaging, quality remastered sound and bonus features. The Ramones were a tight, tuneful combo that sound as energising and exciting as they did back in the day. This was the last album with the original line-up, and as they are all departed it acts as a suitable, almost elegaic celebration of one of the all-time great bands.

This is of course a great album and now it gets the super deluxe treatment, the bonus is you get the vinyl and the CD as well as lots of extras most of which were available when this was remastered on CD years ago I purchased it and it had extra tracks, this has a lot more and is beautifully packaged worth the money.

The usual fantastic, amazing, powerful music of the great Ramones! Best ever group on the planet and best voice, drummer ang guitar! I bought all the remasterized CDs and the sound is much better, clean and clear. And the New covers and internal parts in the case are just great with a lot of new photos! And there are a lot of more songs. Amazing music with RAMONES. Very happy music.
