I loved this book! I loved at the end when Meredith called herself 'Red Rider'. It was such a nice touch to show that she was not and will never be broken! It was a really big surprise for who te Silver Wolf was! This book is really adventurous and thrilling for book-lovers! Can't wait to see what happens next!!!
Red Rider is book one in Kate Avery Ellison’s The Sworn Saga. If you like fairytale retellings then this is a must read. You think you know the tale about Red Riding Hood and The Big Bad Wolf, well think again, this book is going to have you questioning everything.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, it had a very addictive, curious, interesting, and exciting vibe that had me glued from the beginning. It was fast paced with so much happening that I was anxiously anticipating what was going to happen next. I loved Red and Vixor’s characters they were strong, independent and fantastic. I can’t wait to see what happiness the next book.
Meredith Rider is a ‘Chosen’ a human female chosen to breed with The Sworn (Werewolves) to produce the next generation of Werewolf children. She has hidden the fact she is a ‘Chosen’ from everyone except her Grandmother. After loosing her family to ‘The Sworn’ she had spent the last nine years avoiding them, and training with her Grandmother to protect herself. She hates The Sworn and wants nothing to do with them, but when someone she loves is due to die she must sacrifice herself and let her secret known to save them. Now in the hands of the Silver Wolf the right hand to the Alpha, she must take the journey to the palace where she will be paired off to a Werewolf to breed, but first she needs to make the journey there, but the Treecrawlers ain’t going to make it easy.
Wow this book was amazingly written. Once I started I couldn’t put it down till I was finished. This book has twists and turns you don’t know what’s happening. will they all get there happily ever after or will it all go wrong. To find out what happens go buy the book. You won’t be disappointed I wasn’t.
One word for this book. Amazing. Red Rider is truely an amazing tale, I believe the blurb doesn’t do it justice as I sort of cringed on the idea however it was far better portrayed in the book. I’m an absolute softy was a slowburn romance it never fails to get me attached to a book but it can sometimes be the only thing that makes me read the book.... however that is not at all the case in this book. No love at first sight, or cringey phrases or sudden loved up moments, it’s a true development that you witness with your own eyes. The storyline is great, you don’t realise you read as much as you do til you glimpse at the time, some people may find it a bit slow to hit the climax of the book but I didn’t feel that way at all. The protagonist, was a real badass character that was independent and had realistic emotions, but still stood tall during the harsh times within the book. Massive applause to the author.
Yeah, ummm, not what I was expecting. 😆 When I had a read about the book, all I could think about was this book was another fairy tale remake. HA!! Wrong! So glad I gave this one a chance. It's me new favourite.

I absolutely loved this book. It took me less than a full day to finish it as it’s not super long. The story was captivating from start to finish. I caught onto the foreshadowing so the little twist didn’t surprise me, but I was still happy about it. I’ll be ordering the second book a.s.a.p. This was my first time hearing about Kate Avery, and I wasn’t disappointed.
5.0 out of 5 starsA great book with unexpected turns and NOT a reverse harem!

It was so good I don’t even care that it was only a hundred and something pages because I’m counting on the others to be nice and long. I thought Kingmakers was my favorite of Her books but now I might have to change my mind depending on how this series goes. Silver was definable my favorite character and I like how Red was honest. She wasn’t keeping silver around because she had some overwhelming hero complex but because she saw a stratigic way to incorporate him in her plans. But she does have some other awesome characteristics too like her loyalty. There was some inconsistency at the beginning when Reds mom have her the Necklace/collar but later when Shes being interrogated they reference to the necklace like her old kassian gave it to her instead. I love how her books are so intriguing and manage to break the molds of the typical cookie cutter YA novels. At the same time they’re clean but not written in a way that sounds like it’s for middle schoolers. Please please don’t take too long on the next one, also if a hint on the next Kingmakers book could make an appearance soon that would be great! Thanks for another incredible reading journey
