I would not recommend this Conga at all. Normally, you get good sound quality with Remo, but this one is awful. You can not get any depth or a nice full sound. I am a music teacher and wanted to use 2 of them for my EML/Orff lessons, but I needed to send them back and wasted 15 Pound postage costs (The seller Rich Tone music did not give me any money for the postage, because the drums would not have been my taste, which is not true, because they are nothing what they say what they are in their desciption, never mind. I will never buy from Rich Tone music again) on them and the REMO congas as well. What a shame - never again. If you want to buy a quality product, chose a different drum.
I wish j had returned this but discarded the box before I realised how bad the sound was. I am a musician and educator and have several remo drums, which are very good. The sound on this is dull and hollow. It barely makes a noise. I let my kids hit it with mallets, despite being a hand drum, because it's the only way it actually makes a good noise and I don't care if they wreck it because it's so disappointing.
1.0 out of 5 starsPoor sound quality, sounds like a tin drum

I would not recommend this drum to anyone who appreciates good sound. I am a music teacher and wanted to use them for Early music learning/Orff-lessons. But the sound of these newer Rhythm club Bongos is awful, there is no depth in them and it sounds like hitting a tin. If you would like to treat your children to a nice drum, chose a different one.... Also, I wasted 15 Pound on postage costs, which I did not get back from the seller Richtone music, because the drums haven't been "my taste", it was not just the taste, the quality was nothing like in the description.
The drum was exactly as described in the write up, a separate pair of drum sticks were also purchased so the floor drum could be played instead of just banged, and produces a great earthy sound.
