Quick and easy installation – Some DIY skills are needed but let’s be honest, this is no match for your awesomeness. Turned my old Headphones Into new ones. Cheaper than originals but Bose don't do the headband so gave this a go and glad i did. Not as streamlined as the originals due to the zipper on the headband but I can live with that and no more little dark flakes of pleather!

These replacement aftermarket versions are fairly good for the cost. Easy to instal, look very similar, head feel & comfort is fine, however the ear pads don't quite seal around the ear as good as the originals.

Although Bose sell replacement ear pads themselves, you should seriously consider this third-party package for two reasons:
1. They are much cheaper than the manufacturer's equivalent, but the pad material is definitely of comparable quality.
2. The package includes a headband replacement as well as ear pads - and both needed replacing on my old QC2 headphones.

With regard to fitting, as other reviewers have said you do need to watch the YouTube video dedicated to fitting the headband - this is harder than fitting the ear pads, as it was never intended (by Bose) to be replaced. Search for "ahg qc2 bose" - the video you want runs for just over 14 minutes. The package includes all the tools you'll need, with the exception of a pair of scissors to remove the old headband.

The new headband fits well. Note that it does have a slightly different appearance to the original, because of the way it zips into place. At the end of the fitting process, you may need to make small manual adjustments to ensure a snug fit between the headband and retaining clip on each side, especially on the side with the end of the zip.

There is not much to say about fitting of the ear pads - the old parts are easily removed and replaced with the new components. No tools are needed, just a little manual dexterity.

Here's the end result of my efforts. I'm happy with my "new" headphones.

I was given a set of Bose QC2 headphones in 2004. Over 12 years later, they still worked perfectly well but the ear pads and headband "leather" look material had begin to perish making the headphones unusable; hence the purchase of this replacement kit. The longest part of the fitting process was watching the tutorial video on YouTube. NOTE: That is essential before beginning work. However once I started, the whole process took only a few minutes and the result is pretty much good as new. The tutorial video recommends the use of a full size Philips screwdriver (which is what I used) although the small one provided was perfectly adequate. This is an excellent product; highly recommended. One might be tempted by cheaper items but this seems to me to be a prime example of getting what you pay for. A new set of headphones would be around £240 more than the cost of this replacement - great value.

After having my QC15s for a good number of years, the padding was very worn and needed replacing. Thankfully, these are just pefect for the job. Ear cups are very easy to fit and just clip in and the replacement inner mesh (I went with the blue ones to match the Blue Limited Edition QC15s - you get both Black and Blue in the pack) stuck down without issue.

The only fiddly bit can be the zip, but to be honest was a breeze with the included paper clip (great idea), and the new plastic brackets that keep the ends locked down. As long as you pull the black plastic on the headband down past the two little groove, hold larger bits in place and pack the leather down inside before lining up and screwing down the underside parts it all fits perfectly.

The only CON I have, and its in no way an issue or complaint, is that the new plastic clips are larger than the original. I totally get why they are as they need to allow room for the ends of the zip, but it just makes them stand out more.

So if you are looking for an identical replacement in terms of look, these aren't quite there, but if you just want to give your QC15s a refresh then you couldn't ask for more.

I am Extremely pleased with this Fantastic product. My husband was really upset when his Bose Earphone HeadBand was flaking away and then the ear pads did the same. He was sure they couldn’t be repaired and kept them in the case for over 1 year. I saw these advertised by a company called AHG and I thought I would give them a try. I received the package quickly and received an email from the company owner saying if I had any problems with the items to email him (Brandon) and he would be happy to help, which I found really nice. I was a little apprehensive on how to do the replacement but I was given a QR code for a video on YouTube, and it was really easy. As you can see from the pictures the headphones look brand new, I was extremely proud of myself and my husband was so happy with me for repairing his loved headphones. I would definitely recommend this product, the quality and feel of these are excellent.

This is an excellent set of replacement ear pads and headband for Bose over ear headphones. They are real leather (rather than the plasticised fake leather fitted by Bose - which deteriorates necessitating the replacement in the first place - what is it with American manufacturers (Bose, Apple) and built in obsolescence?). They are easy to fit if you've ever used a screwdriver before. They fit really well and, although the look of the headband is different, it still looks very smart. Indeed, the replacement headband is much smarter that the "black dandruff' caused by the original headband shedding its fake leather coating. Do watch the You Tube instructional videos, its mostly straight forward but its reassuring to be able to confirm you're going about things correctly.
