I think people need to be careful with these speakers. I have now bought three, all of which were faulty. The first unit would not power up and was returned. The second were bought as a pair to operate in stereo, but would not pair. The Roberts technical team are quick to respond, read through the supplied instructions and then abandon you when they realise that the units are probably faulty.
They’re not cheap, of acceptable sound quality for the money and I perhaps foolishly bought them primarily for their looks.
The latest two units will be returned and will no doubt appear as Warehouse bargains. I would advise you to steer well clear.

Beautiful rich sound from a truly beautiful speaker. I am not too interested in the technical specs, I wanted a good sound quality and something that looked nice. This speaker did both these things in heapfuls. The sound is rich and smooth with pop, rock and classical, the tone is quite simply superb, you melt into its tones, and its also a stunningly beautiful speaker to see out and displayed.

Oooh I like audio tech, a lot, let's see how this Bluetooth speaker compares to my current...

This is the Roberts Beacon 320 Bluetooth Speaker, retro style in glorious teal blue. It is also available in charcoal grey, dusky pink, carbon black and duck egg. For a bit more you can get the 330 model which has changeable EQ via the app.

This 320 model measures just 19.2 x 9.5 x 9.5cm and is a weighty 633g.

When unboxing this speaker it feels like a real premium product, nice packaging with chunky cardboard that keeps the speaker safe and dry. Out if the box you get one 320 speaker, charge lead DC 5V to UK plug, and 2 sets of instructions (one of which is more specified to the come and look what you could've won 330). This has 12 hours play from 3 hours charge which is not that great in today's market, I'd expect a bit longer for the price.

The speaker looks gorgeous in a nice retro style that is very late 60's, the fabric goes round 360° with a bold plastic top 'n bottom rim with chrome piping.

Connectivity is easy, simply press the Bluetooth button on top of speaker then search on your device and pair to Beacon 320. Easy. You have a charge display on top of the speaker, 3 white dot lights (each represents 4 hours), and the other buttons are power and volume +/-.
On the rear of the speaker you have an aux input via 3.5mm plug for those who don't have Bluetooth.

If you happen to leave speaker on, don't worry after 15 mins it will shut itself down like a good boy.

Using the speaker is not bad, but I wouldn't say overly great. Unfortunately on this model you are stuck with one EQ level, which is not really to my liking, as I prefer more bottom and top in a wide U shape. This is not that, this is flat lined with a little bottom raised. The sound is decent, quite detailed but becomes quite itchy at high levels and this is where the frailties show. The treble is very frail and bass is quite squidgy. I like a speaker to be loud n proud, not all show with nothing inside. Perhaps the drivers are capable of more but with no EQ we will never know. Listen to Saint Etienne - Only Love Can Break Your Heart or Stereolab - French Disko on full, you will see what I mean. I thought these tunes would be perfect for the retro look of the radio. How wrong was I, sad face.

Overall I would say I am quite flat after listening to the speaker, for the price I expected better. The design is fantastic and is a beautiful retro style. It's good, just not brilliant.

I would recommend this speaker for someone who is looking for the look and isn't overly bothered with sound contours.
Maybe pay a bit extra and go for the model up?
