This is a collection of eight American Rock 'n' Roll songs from the '50's, being (my notes in brackets):
Bony Moronie. (very repetitive)
Charlie Brown. (ditto)
Hand Clappin'. (high-speed and difficult)
Honky Tonk (Parts 1 & 2). (good entertainment)
I'm Walkin'. (F sharp Major - 6 sharps)
See You Later, Alligator
Shake, Rattle and Roll
In my judgment it's an ok practice book, but there are far better out there. The Hal Leonard Big Band Playalong series for example is far better.
It would be far easier to pick out sheet music online if the publishers allowed us to look inside the books online so that we know what we're buying.
As it is it's a hit-and-miss business. We look what's on offer, read the reviews, and in the end just plump for one and stick in a thumb - which means that sometimes we pull out a plum and other times (as here) a turkey.

A great book for sax rock and roll fansReviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 October 2014
This is the one in the series which I love. I don't think that I have seen a collection of rock and roll playalongs elsewhere. Not disappointed. Presumably the songs are in their original keys as some of them have lots of sharps or flats. challenging but well worth the practice.

Disappointed!Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 July 2015
I was disappointed because the edition, in my opinion at least, is more for vocalists, on saxophone it is not possible to play the vocal line AND the backings and enjoy doing so especially if used for instruction purposes.
