Runawaysは異次元世界中からドゥームの学校に集められた優秀な若者が、チーム分けされ、チーム対チームで殺し合いをさせられるため、
1チーム（ジュビリー、ピクシー[死亡]、アマデウス・チョ、デルフィネ・ゴーゴン、サカー、モリー・ヘイエス、クローク[タンディー]＆ダガー[タイ]）が逃亡を図るもの。
Secret Loveは、デアデビル＆カレン・ペイジ、ロビー・レイス＆カマラ・カーン、ミスティー・ナイト＆アイアン・フィスト、スクイレル・ガール＆ソー、アントマン＆ワスプ（本当に虫）の短編です。ミスティー＆ダニーは二人が結婚して子どももいる世界の話で、グリヒルがペン＆インクを担当。アントマン＆ワスプは「ＭＹリトル・ポニー」のケイティ・クックが担当しています。
グリヒル作品が読みたかったので、購入。その他の作品も良かったです（ソーの割れた腹筋をプニプニつつくスクイレル・ガールの話とか）。

A Ragtag Group of Superpowered Kids Escape from Doom's Nefarious Battleworld Academy

The Secret Wars Runaways tie-in has little to do with the actual fan favorite series so much as it takes the concept of super powered kids and provides a great new setting. In Doom's Battleworld numerous superpowered or special children are brought together from the various warzones in a school run by Doom's "daughter" Valeria Richards. In said school the kids are grouped into teams and trained to join Doom's elite guard. A ragtag group of such kids are joined together when they realize that the "exams" they partake in are actually to the death against other students. The group runs away from Doom's academy and goes on a warzone-hopping adventure before deciding to stand up against the school and save their fellow students. It is a fun read even if you aren't familiar with all of the various characters; though I do admit that the idea of a Battle Royale esque school is just a bit too evil for Doom's Battleworld (as insane as it can be). Keep in mind that the school is run by Valeria Richards and probably is known to Stephen Strange; even with the pair of them under Doom's thumb in the main series I don't know if they would sign off on a murder competition with kids. Still it is a light, fun read and the collection comes paired with the decently amusing Secret Love one off that reads almost like a Secret Wars themed Valentines Day issue.
