OutSmart Multi-Use Lock

This multi-use lock prevents your little explorer from getting into a variety of appliances and can be used to secure cabinets. It is easily attached with an adhesive and is removable when the lock is no longer required. Your child will think that the decoy button opens the lock, but pushing on it has no effect. You’ll know that the flexible surface hides the actual secret to opening the lock.

OutSmart Knob Covers

This door knob covers prevent your little explorer from accessing off-limit rooms. They easily snap around the door knob and can be operated with one adult hand by squeezing the flexible grips on the side. The decoy button won’t do anything when pushed, but adults in the know can lift it up to reveal the door lock. This convenient pack of two knob covers lets you safeguard two doors in your home.

Close defective freezer door

I used it the keep the freezer door closed as the door was not staying close when we were closing the fridge door underneath.

I read someone’s else comment using it the same way, gave it a try myself, and confirmed it is working.

Don’t have kids, but the dummy button will work for sure

After trying three different kinds of Child proof locks only to be unable to open them as an adult and therefore not use them to another lot that as I put them on the two year old came behind me and undid them to the inability of the two year old to open the Safety 1st Outsmart locks to the ease of use as adults and therefore more compliance on behalf of the adults to use them is well worth the added expense.

Ok, so not needed for child proofing but for an upper freezer door that always opens a crack when the fridge is closed. This caused this freeze/thaw situation that i wasnt sure was the machine or the door. It was the door and this product, while a bit finicky to open has been working very well for at least a month. I had wanted a velcro type earthquake strap thinking it would be easier to open but this is doing the job nicely

We have had these locks in place for a few weeks now and they work perfectly for keeping the little ones out of places they shouldn’t be!

We used ours on a couple of drawers to start with. The decoy button worked immediately and still does and the lock is even a good distraction from the drawer handle itself.

My wife was initially concerned that the drawer can still open slightly, but it is nowhere near enough for the little ones to get in. And I wouldn’t recommend installing them too tight as this will put unnecessary strain on the strap and make it more difficult for you to open and lock again.

If you get a defective one, they won’t replace

3 out of 4 worked. 1 was defective and didn’t stick. I contacted amazon as I would’ve liked a replacement for the defective one. But since the company has a limit on how many you can buy, I was told I can’t get a replacement one. I was more than willing to mail the defective one back! This is frustrating! I ordered 4, because I need four. So now I have to scour store to store in my city or look online elsewhere for another one.
These are easy to instal, and the decoy button really works for kids. My 2 year old tried really hard to get the fridge door open and couldn’t. So these are strong and stay put.
Just disappointed that I received defective one and can’t even have it replaced. It’s through no fault of my own so doesn’t seem fair. :/ I understand the company has a limit on how many you can buy but an exception should perhaps be made if someone received a defective one. Because they can’t use it and and If you ordered 4, you should be able to use all 4. Very inconvenient. I deducted one star from adhesion as one didn’t stick. Therefore defective. And it was used on the same surface as two of the other ones.

I bought six of these and have been using them as I need. When I installed the first two, I noticed one of them had some weird stains on it. I figured maybe my hands were dirty when I installed it or something. Now a few months later I opened another one and this one also had the stains. I opened the rest of them and they all had these weird reddish brown stains on them. Really not sure what it is but it does gross me out and ruin the look of them which is unfortunate given their individual price. Other than this issue, they’re effective and easy to install.

I honestly didn't buy this product to use it as a child lock what I actually bought this for is because my fridge kept opening every time I would close the bottom fridge door the freezer would open or vice versa the freezer would open the fridge door so I use it to not allow each of those doors to open easy to install but once you install it I don't recommend trying to move it so be sure where you want to put it because you can't take it off afterwards it's very hard to take off sorry it can come off as it's hard to take off
