It's amazing!! Just when you thought you were clean, you put a blob of gel wipe on some folded toilet paper, wipe away and you really are clean. And fresh, yes it's a bit cold, but refreshing!! As a Gary man I can't recommend this product highly enough. I wish I'd found it years ago. I've avoided traditional wipes because they clog the drains, but this product is fantastic. If you're having any doubts then I'd thoroughly recommend that you give this a try. You won't be disappointed.
So I bought this as I'm concerned about blocking the drains with baby wipe like toilet wipes. I have to say it is a good alternative, but I would still prefer to use a baby wipe as they work better. However, this is great to try if you have a conscience about clogging up sewers with baby wipes - not to mention the amount of plastic that is in them. To make this a bit success they manufacturers have to find a way to reduce the price. I know this is a bit of start up and they don't have the economies of scale yet.
This is a great invention. No more red raw bum from wiping with toilet paper due to minor, but irritating leakage problem. Have to wipe now and then for up to three hours after going. Brilliantly, this is no longer such a problem. Really terrific. Minor irritation is the blurb that says it should last 300 wipes, or 6 months or so. Nowhere near it. You need at least two blobs of gel per wipe. In my case that's up to half a dozen times a day. Quickly 6 months becomes about a month of use per bottle. Which I am well content to pay but it is slightly annoying that the company that was wonderful enough to invent this gel should then go and oversell its utility life for the customer . However, I will, like a previous user said, use this product for the rest of my natural.
I purchased this product to move away from using toilet wipes which are unkind to the environment. The gel works best on stronger toilet tissue like Andrex Quilted Supreme. It’s an expensive alternative although a good one if you can afford it. 5* for effectiveness (with strong tissue) 3* for value
It doesn't just sink into the paper (contrary to what others say, you can use any toilet paper so use the most environmentally friendly) but glides over the skin making cleaning much easier on subsequent wipes. However, my beef is with their use of ethylparaben as a preservative - it accumulates in the environment in sewage sludge and is an endocrine disrupter - not good for the environment and why does my bum need something preserved anyway!!! In future use Angel which has no parabens and uses a recycled/recyclable container (but buy directly, not through Amazon - very expensive).
This product is easy and pleasant to use. I'm glad I took a chance and gave it a try. I care about the planet so I like that it replaces the need for wipes. I have sensitive skin but find I can use it without worry. It does what it says well and the container is discrete and so easy to pop in your handbag if you go out.
I am updating this review because I have now tried the product more than once. In short , I still like the product however the pump doesn't work at all on the new bottle. I know from experience that sometimes a good shake can resolve a problem but no amount of vigorous shaking has made the gel come out. I emailed the company direct for help and suggestions and received no reply . I have read here that others have had problems like this so I will not be buying again because of the pump problems.
