2.5" Solid State Drives (SSDs) or Hard Disk Drives offer many benefits over larger 3.5" hard disk drives, such as lower heat output, faster speed (with SSD), and lower power consumption. But installing a new 2.5" SSD or HDD into an existing computer may not be possible due to lack of 2.5" bay drive support. The Sabrent 3.5" to 2.5" Bay Drive Converter Kit easily transforms any available 3.5" bay drive to accommodate up to two 2.5" hard disk drives or SSDs. The Converter Kit is designed to work with all types of computer cases (screw-on type or tool-less type), and can be installed quickly. The adapter is constructed from robust SECC steel to ensure strength and integrity of the adapter.

The Sabrent mount came with a bag of screws for the SSD and bolts for fixing to the PC frame. The mount itself is cleverly designed and will hold two 2.5-inch devices. I screwed in the SSD to the mount, then the whole thing is fixed into the PC as if it were a 3-5 inch disk, using the supplied bolts. Plug in the cables, and job done, with a rigid fixture of my expensive new SSD accomplished. My only criticisms are that some of the mount's edges are sharp and could easily give your fingers a cut, so handle with care; and the price is a bit high, I think.
It can take a bit of figuring out from the diagram to know which way is forward - I got two of these and ended up with the drives being in completely different positions - and I'm still not sure how! You don't actually have much of a choice in how you screw the drive into this caddy. Annoyingly, one of them will not take right angle SATA connectors because the drive is no where near the lip of this caddy. I'm also unsure that the sunken head screws they provide are appropriate for the type of screw holes, which are not sunken themselves.
The only way it could work would (possibly) to buy a short female to male SATA cable to bridge the gap - but that is not advised in the description
However the drives sit closely one on top of the other. While this is no problem in itself, some PSU manufacturers fit their cables to the bottom or top of the SATA-power connector, rather than at the end. Such cables are too bulky to fit in the closely stacked configuration of this adapter. You can fit one connector or the other, but not both. I had to use an adapter cable, where the power connector cables were end fitted, for one of the drives. (Perhaps one drive could be fitted upside down so the power connectors would be staggered, although I did not try this.)
The Sabrent adapter itself is a well made product; recommended.
