Mounting the monitor limitations and what they don't tell you

in the fine print... The dimensions of this model required by VESA are 75mm. If the external dimensions of the mount are greater than 94mm you can't mount it due to the 'lip' around where the stand goes. Removing the stand doesn't fix this. The lip in the back casing remains. VERY annoyed.
This means if you have purchased a mount that has both 75 and 100mm it won't work as the plate is too large. I struggle to believe no one has come across this before and the seller should articulate this in the description!!

Stand Not Removable

I brought this for an arcade project. I attached the stand to install and get everything ready, and then when it came to installing it into the arcade, I couldn't remove the stand. I looked at the manual and couldn't find anything about removing it, in the end, I had to get a hacksaw and chop off the stand.

Other than that the monitor is fantastic, would definitely recommend, just make sure you decide if you want to wall-mount it or have it on a stand before you commit to putting it on.

This monitor is so wide compared to my older 4:3 monitor that it makes viewing a full picture experience without having to scroll back and forth. The main thing is ….it's a Samsung and you can't get better than that.

I replaced 4 x 19" 4:3 monitors with this monitor. It's not quite as wide (probably equivalent to about 3.5 x 19" 4:3 monitors) but the resolution is higher, the picture is beautiful and being able to have wide windows without bezels is really nice.

Quick word of warning: you need a deep desk in order to sit far enough away! My desk is 61cm and that's not deep enough unless you wall mount (the stand is surprisingly deep).
