The drive is pretty much all you'll ever need for the Xbox One. I've got well over 300 games on the Xbox platform and this drive took all of them and wasn't even 50% full. Simple to set up with a fast internal 7200RPM Barracuda drive, this bad boy will keep you going for a very long time. It has 2 expansion ports on the front too so you can daisy chain your drives if you please. It's whisper quiet, fast and a great piece of kit. Well worth the expense.

This Thunderbolt 3 Device is Absolutely Amazing, but with some Reservations about many Thunderbolt 3 Devices and their Ability to Work with Windows vs Apple. The NVMe slot is a dream for all Tech savvy users. The Glow Lighting is much more delicate than MOST of the RGB Lighting that has insulted our eyes for years.I have purchased a few TB3 Devices now and have experienced results that are both compelling and appalling with Windows Based PC'S. Finding Software/Firmware that makes these High End Devices work is at Best Obtuse. I Sent my Amazon purchased FireCuda Dock back to the Manufacturer after they could not troubleshoot it over the phone nor even remotely. They said they would replace it but suggested that MSI (my new notebook- Prestige 15 )had updated firmware for TB3.
I had already spent innumerable Hours with MSI, Seagate and Intel.I had earlier sent my Notebook back to MSI together with a smaller TB3 External NVMe SSD and they said it worked fine after resetting Windows (which I had done 3 times myself - with no positive result)
My Daughters Macbook Pro 2020 recognised this device.The New Firmware does not work. I need help right now , like the Luke's Graham Song.

This is a great looking piece of gear and works flawlessly. I have a 2TB nvme installed in the m.2 expansion slot and the read/write speeds are fantastic. The included 4TB HDD is slower - but on par with other good quality external HDD"s I have used. I use the Gaming Dock HDD as a general purpose backup drive and the added nvme as fast working space for photo editing. This is not just a gaming dock!!! Highly recommended.

Ideal for TimeMachine backups of a Mac with external drives containing large photo libraries. Works well in Mac OS Mojave 10.14.4 and Aperture 3.6. Needs to be reformatted for the Mac and is compatible with Mac Disk Utility 18.0 and also Alsoft DiskWarrior 5.2. Also 2 external USB ports for other devices and USB charging. A bit slow but no problems for backing up.
Best of all is its price!

Great little drive for XBox-though 8TB drive not compatible with PS4

I know it says XBox but wanted it for my PS4 as space was running low as presumed it would work anyway as I’ve mixed before. I bought the 8TB model and tried to set it up but even after formatting it, my PS4 refused to recognise it as extended storage. Then when I checked in the storage details, the storage capacity was listed as 8.01 TB, and the PS4 won’t recognise more than 8TB. I have since found out it is not being recognised because the PS4 does not recognise external Hubs, which this is. I’m now using it on an XBox and it works perfectly, if a little noisy at times. For the size of the games being made now, it’s an excellent buy for the XBox but not for the PS4 unfortunately. Hopefully an update might sort this but I’m not holding my breath.

Also Festplatte ist aktuell seit 2 Wochen in Betrieb. Übertragungsrate von meiner alten PS4 auf die Festplatte war sehr gut (hab mir eine PS4 Pro geholt und hatte davor eine 3TB Festplatte verbaut). Preis fand ich auch Akzeptabel.
Und nun zu den schlechten Bewertungen vor mir die sagen die Festplatte geht nach maximal paar Monaten kaputt, man muss halt unbedingt daran denken unter Energiespareinstellungen die Option unter „Im Ruhemodus verfügbare Optionen“ -> „USB Ports mit Strom versorgen“ auf „dauerhaft“ zu stellen oder die PS immer nur ausschalten und NIEMALS in den Ruhe Modus setzen, denn wählt man bei der Stromversorgung im Ruhemodus „Nie“ oder „3 Stunden“ an ist ja kalt damit die Externe Festplatte bald das zeitliche segnet wenn man Die PS in den Ruhemodus versetzt.....

Every time one turned up it didn’t work, i had I think three shipped out all were subsequently returned.
After the second one came in and wasn’t working I thought it was something I was doing wrong, so took it to my local computer shop to maybe get a power booster if needed. Guy plugs it in to test and says “no hard drive should ever make that noice” and tells me the device won’t open and it’s basically broken.
When third one came just basically repeated last step.
Don’t know if they were faulty to begin with or if they were dropped hard on transit but they were only packed in an amazon book box with not much padding so chance are high.

I bought this hard drive for my PS4 after reading that it is officially licensed to PS4, and it stopped working in just 24 hrs of use!!!, it stopped recognising by PS4 as external storage because somehow it started showing capacity on this drive as 144115.2 TB, what a joke!!, see attached photo, I would not recommend this to anyone if some is thinking it is officially licensed for PS4 system and go to buy, it is rubbish.
** its been week i sent the faulty item back I am still waiting to refund***

L HD si presenta di buona fattura. Sarà solo necessario collegarlo alla play e seguire le istruzioni per l installazione. Ormai questi strumenti diventano indispensabili per l archiviazione di giochi che altrimenti richiederebbero una continua installazione per la vastità delle patch di aggiornento. Premetto che è molto poco rumoroso e che scalda poco (certo se si gioca 8 ore di fila scalda abbastanza ma non eccessivamente da fondere il centrino della nonna su cui lo apppoggerete xD). AGGIORNAMENTO: non sarà compatibile con Ps5 almeno al lancio poiché la velocità di trasferimento dati non sarà sufficiente per la next Gen, che richiederà invece l uso di un hd interno di cui sony deve ancora far sapere costo e data di lancio. Spostare su questo HD giochi o installarli da zero, richiedo pochissimo tempo in più che installarli nella memoria interna. Ricordate che gli aggiornamenti dei vari giochi potranno essere scaricati solo manualmente però, dunque appena accendere te la play sarete voi a dover ricercare un eventuale aggiornamento di un dato gioco.
