She loses her job of 13 years as a translator, and her New York apartment of over 30 years. She is forced into early retirement and orthopedic surgeries in Argentina, her birthplace. The old elevator needed major repairs that were never done and kept under wraps. But when everything seemed lost, a stranger from Brooklyn appears unannounced and changes the course of history.
