Some soaps use tallow/lard if like me, you want to avoid animal products there are substitutions suggested. I don't want to use palm oil either and there aren't any recipes with it in due to environmental concerns.
I am a big fan of the Nerdy Farmwife and I had high expectations. I have not been disappointed :-)
Aside from the recipes there is a wealth of information on ingredients, troubleshooting, natural colours and embellishments. I wish this book had been available when I started out...
A lot of work and time has obviously gone into publishing this book .. Well done Jan and thank you sincerely for helping me and I'm sure thousands of others to learn this fascinating art ... <3
