The various reviews I have both read, and seen,of these in ear noise cancelling headphones, appear to have been over-hyped.
Considering their high cost, I feel somewhat disappointed..........
The sound is good but there is no point of comparison with my old Bose Quietcomfort 35 II.
The only way to notice is if you replace the included tips for Comply. Forget about noise cancellation with the included tips.
Two defective pairs:
After wearing them for a while (daily use) I started noticing occasional noise in one of the earphones.
Finally, my first pair started making a horrible noise in the right earphone during calls: Returned.
After a few weeks of using my second pair, the same happened this time with the left earphone.
In sound quality there is very little difference with my old Optoma BLE 4, and the big $400 price tag is hard to justify.
When i first started using these buds, I did have a few audio drop outs from listening to Spotify and my podcast player. However found a solution to remove battery saving options from those apps (on android) and this problem was resolved. Aside from that case, audio drop outs have been very rare and when they do happen, it's for a second or less.
I did not notice any difference with using it for my work iphone however first connection was slower but after that was fine.
Overall, the only thing I wish was improved is the call quality - it's very behind on comparisons to the airpods and people can tell when i'm using them. It also tends to pick up every noise around you instead of just your voice - hoping for the third software update which fixes this issue as the previous update hardly did a thing from my observations.
My previous headphones were the Bose QC20 bud type. I was quite happy with these until they failed prematurely just out of warranty but overall the SONY are a big improvement. Sound quality of SONY is very good although I used the eq to tone down the top end sounds somewhat. The noise cancelling on the SONY does not seem quite as good as the BOSE but I am yet to use these on a plane. Walking around the streets I can still hear all the traffic noise and they're not much good for cycling. Wind noise is an issue. But really, they are category killers in terms of what they set out to do. Quality, connectivity, ease of use, battery life and sheer musicality all mean very much to me so I'm sure I'll be using these for a long time.

Unable to charge properly and pairing is difficult - instructions were bad in manual.
I'll be returning this and going for TWM2 instead.
