I went to a car electronics store (VitroPlus) which ordered the case needed to fit into my 2003 Toyota Corolla.
I use Apple CarPlay ALL THE TIME, I almost never use the normal radio, even tho it works really well. It only works with Apple phones, there’s no Android Auto, but the Bluetooth fonction of the radio is so fast to connect to your phone, it’s instantaneous when you start the car.
The settings are simple, and complete.
I recommend it 100%, it transforms my old car into a techy car that I’m always excited to drive now. It impresses people when they get into your car.
Only issue is that I’m not sure about the solidity of the USB port on long term, I would recommend ALWAYS let your USB cord plugged, only unplug your phone when you leave the car, plus you need an Apple brand USB cord.
UPDATE: In august 2019, I installed an aftermarket backup camera that I plugged to my Sony radio. But products are working seamlessly together. It’s now been 8 months that I have it today (November 2019) and it still works great, but it seems to hate cold temperatures.
