Before power on, please activate the gimbal. This is very important. Because if not activation, the gimbal will not work.
There are 3 locks that need to be unlocked and then can unfold it.
When mounting the phone, please make sure it can be mounted in the middle of the gimbal.
After mounting, please balance the phone on the gimbal.
IF YOU DON'T DO THE STEPS, YOU POWER THE PHONE STABILIZER ON DIRECTLY, IT WILL VIBRATE AND WILL BE DAMAGED

5 Steps to do the Activation:

Download the Hohem Pro App from Apple Store or Google Play.
Register and login Hohem Pro App
Mount your Phone in the middle of the gimbal and balance it well.
Power on and the BlueTooth light flashes as red and green.
Enable the Bluetooth of the phone and launch the Hohem pro App, Connect it.

（Hohem Pro APP account activation now supports both a mobile phone number and Email verification to receive verification codes. If the mobile phone number can not receive the verification codes, please choose the email verification.）

There are some short Tutorial videos at the Hohem pro App for your watching.

Compatible Phones: Weight ≤280G, Thickness ≤11mm, Width 55mm~90mm. Below are some phone models for reference.

Q: How to activate the gimbal?

A: Download APP "Hohem Pro" in your phone. Unfold the gimbal and unlock the 3 axis, if one axis is stuck, it will not power on but turn to sleep mode. Install your smartphone in the gimbal, adapt it to balance. Turn on bluetooth in your phone, power on gimbal, open Hohem Pro app to register, click "Activate".

Q: Why the stabilizer vibrate when it power on?

A: The vibration may cause by the incorrect installation of the phone. Turn it off, take off the phone case (if you have), try to snap the phone into the clip from it's bottom, make sure the back of your smartphone is attach to the plate tightly. And restart the gimbal again. You also can change the parameter of the motor response in the Hohem Pro app.

Q: Why Hohem Pro App bluetooth disconnect or can not connect with bluetooth?

A: Make sure your phone turn on Bluetooth and location services, and disconnect other device's bluetooth. Open Hohem Pro app, it will detect iSteady X, click "connect" to accept the bluetooth pairing request, some Android phones needs scroll the screen to Message reminder page of your phone to accept bluetooth pairing request. Success to connect bluetooth to the App, it will record the first phone of connection and auto to reconnect next time. If it still can't connect, please try to download and install the APP again.

Q: After a period time of use, the gimbal axis get a little slant. How to fix it?

A: Connect your gimbal the Hohem Pro app Click "Settings"(the "Gear" symbol), Scroll down and find "Auto-calibration", click "confirm". It will takes about 40s to finish auto-calibration

Not as good as the hype. You need to balance the phone perfectly, otherwise you can hear the motors vibrating on the video.

There’s no picture panorama option. A 3x3 or a landscape panorama would have been great. Other gimbals do this.

Panorama mode doesn’t work properly, if you set scene 1 with the +, then scent 2 with the + again, it quite often doesn’t follow the scene 1 & 2 you’ve set. It does it’s own thing.

App has crashed twice on me in an hour. Hope it a one off.

Telephoto key isn’t smooth. Once it goes past the optical zoom limitation into digital zoom it jerks.

Dolly mode doesn’t work as expects. The gimbal moves the phone and doesn’t look natural.

Thinking of returning it.

I have been looking for a Gimbal Stabiliser and want one that could neatly fit in a small bag, most I found were bulky until I found this unit.

The Gimbal completely fold down into a small package only weighing around 280 grams it’s very lightweight. I was surprised being so small it’s still a 3 axis gimbal which makes the picture silky smooth.

Opening the Box you get the Gimbal, hand strap, A mini tripod, USB Lead and a Velvet type bag to carry it all.

The overall function of the gimbal is really easy you download the Hohem Pro App sign in and link the gimbal, once that’s complete the gimbal springs into life.

The unit is feature packed it’s had auto horizontal and vertical mounting at the press of a button it flips around. There is also a feature called one tap to inception which flips around the phone 270 degrees making for a very cool effect. Then you have Dolly Zoom, Motion Timelapse, Panoramic Video, Fantastic Rotation and Lucky Time.

So many features are in the Hohem app that allows you to view and edit your footage after, this is key for Vlogging nice and quick.

- Price is very good compared to others with less features
- Hohem App featured packed with effects and video editing abilities.
- Great well written manual
- Mini Tripod is great for use with the gimbal and has other uses.

Della stassa ditta ho preso quello per action cam e devo dire di essermi trovato bene, quindi ho pensato di prendere quello per smartphone e neanchee questo mi ha deluso. Il prodotto è come sempre molto curato nella confezione e nella presentazione ma soprattutyo nella qualità costruttiva( nessun scricchiolio) e dei materiali pur parlando di plastica e gomma per il grip. Altra cosa molto comoda sono le dimensioni ridotte ed il peso ( quanto uno smartphone) ma nonostante questo si riesce al lavorare con smartphone anche molto grossi (io un 6.4"). Una volta scaricata l'app proprietaria ci si può sbizzarrire, nel mio video ho voluto far notare la stabilizzazione che come si vede è ottima. Rispetto alla versione action cam questa per smartphone ha una categoria ricca di effetti video applicabili live alle registrazioni video e in piu ha una versione bellissima che uso davvero spesso che è la Face detection, ovvero riconosce il viso e lasciasciando tutti gli assi liberi la camera ti segue passo passo senza perderti di vista e mantenendoti a fuoco. Ovviamente questo gimbal avendo 3 assi si riescono a fare riprese fantastiche bloccando e sbloccando i vari assi. Devo dire che ci sono anche le impostazioni per poter modificare la reattivita del motore del gimbal, il grilletto per far ruotare da orizzontale a verticale insomma a me è piaciuto moltissimo è molto completo.
