4.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, Sloppy Execution
Reviewed in the United States on 5 November 2020
I owned the Episode 1 cross sections book when I was a kid. It was definitely one of my favorite Star Wars books so I had to get the complete edition. This contains vehicles from all 6 movies, Rogue One, Disney Trilogy and Solo.

Right off the bat the most obvious changes to me were the movie screenshots. They're sprinkled throughout the book for some different angles and more context. Some of the names of vehicles and descriptions changed as well. Not necessarily a bad thing, just things that I noticed.

The worst part is the lack of fold out pages. Granted, they were not my favorite as a kid (because they were easily bent on accident) but it really emphasized the scale these ships portrayed. At least four large craft (and Death Star) are sectioned off and look terribly incomplete. For example, the Droid Control Ship is cut in half and you have to turn the page to see the other part of the vessel. (See photos)

Overall, this is a great book. The illustrations are highly detailed and the info on each little part helps give you an idea on how they would work. This obviously could've had more vehicles but I'm satisfied with what's here because I never owned more than that first cross sections book. I just can't give this 5 stars because of the lack of those fold out pages. If you want this just for the Rise of Skywalker vehicles, I recommend against it.

Being a Mechanical Engineering Designer I love this book! A lot of thought was put into these images as far as Form, Fit and possible Function. I find the images amazing. Text? Plenty of it haven’t read much of anything but identifying labels. Awesome illustrations! Well done authors!
