My primary issue, as others have identified, was getting the wifi router connected with the server. The tech guy was able to get everything hooked up (via changing my static IP, which I could not figure out on my own even with Google's help, nor would it connect via the WPS button on my modem). I spent about 30 minutes tinkering, then contacted tech support.

It would have zero stars if Amazon permitted it
It's not possible to change the user name from the typical first use "admin", that's like running a flag up the pole saying open here, that's bad enough by itself , but read on
Using a password longer than 7 characters will cause the Direct browser IP access to refuse connection, once this has happened then the Startech supplied Admin software will however allow access to the device without asking for the set password. It's like throwing the barn door wide open.
I asked Startech to direct me to a firmware download with a checksum to do a re-flash of the unit, in case what I was seeing was a one off bad flash their response was that they do not have access to a firmware file, WTF.

Unfortunately my purchase was done on impulse, really should have gotten one that also included Air Print for my IOS devices.
However the reviews of such were not favourable.
