Lots of Potential, but needs serious review & upgrade

This is my 2nd unit, the first returned with various issues, some serious.

This unit also has some of those issues why I returned, most annoying is virtually must be rebooted every morning & often during general operation (that's bad)
It also may be a refurbished unit re minor scratches on top of facia (?)

Lots of things to like if it worked properly, although not modern in design (too bulky) & general hardware/software ..it may go back yet.

I can not get my item to work properly. On standby it will not turn on. Either by machine or by remote controll. I have to turn it off & on at the PowerPoint. I have tried to watch a DVD & the machine turned off. Once at about 3 min into DVD. 2nd time about 30 min in. I have gone into the room it's in & it has turned itself on.
I have tried ringing the phone no on back of remote, but can't get through. I have emailed the site, but no answer. I really don't want to send it back, bug don't know if there is any option. Can u help please. Maureen Milnes

Only problem with my one is the loading of blu ray movies, it takes a lot of goes for it to work.

I’ve had this player for 4months, and not a problem until a couple of weeks ago. When I put a blu ray disc in the player now, it takes a few goes at getting it to load up, and I always check the region . I see most other people have had the player freezing and having to switch it of at the wall. My player has never done that, it’s just when I go to watch a blu ray.

The instruction manual is terrible and not easy to follow. The remote control is hard to use even after I put new batteries in it, you have to be about 2 feet away from the unit for it to work and even then you have to push the buttons at least twice each time. I tried to call the help number but all you get is a recorded message to leave a message and then no one returns your call ?

This model has a fault where it seizes every 48hours. The first one i had did this and was replaced. The second one, its harddrive died after 12 months. I bought another because number 2 could not be repaired due to covid in Melbourne. Could not believe this one number 3 is faulty as well. Service people are helpful.

This combo player is ok but often goes into standby and the only way to get it off standby is to turn it off at the wall. It also does not identify shows you have taped and watched so sometimes you have to wade through to find which episode you are looking for.
