How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

The legion is both despised and needed by the House of Reason. They are the enforcement arm of the republic and as such are sent in to secure the interests of corporations and politicians. This was an emotional read with each chapter starting with a sentence of a letter from a dead man to his parents. The Legion are filled with those who joined up to protect those who can't protect themselves but are given missions where they sacrificed to greed. One of the taglines to the beginning of the Galaxy's Edge series read: "The galaxy is a dumpster fire, a hot stinking dumpster fire and I don't know if the legionnaires are putting it out or stoking the flames in to an inferno". This entry demonstrates why. A tale of companionship, heroism and a legionnaires sacrifice for his brothers.

Great action, and never bored reading it . The Gestori were not the enemy, but the marines had no choice, with the politicians and brass being the problem. still true today in most but not all cases t

Lots of action, virtually non-stop.
Pity there is no sequel, it is perfectly staged for a sequel.
I liked it, and recommend it.

The House of Reason has a lot to answer for.
The pointless waste of life, all for political gain...sound familiar?
Get the tissues ready for the dust you'll get in your eyes.
Brilliantly written, heart breaking story.

Fantastic military science fiction!!!! ❤️

This story in the Galaxy’s Edge world is one of the very best I’ve read/experienced.
The action is above par, the characters are all worthy of being called Legionnaires.
There are so many protagonists, but it’s easy to follow each and every very scenario.
It’s heartbreaking at times, but heartwarming at others.
Through their bond and brotherhood they fight and never give up, just like Legionnaires have taught us readers over each Galaxy’s Edge story.
The inclusion of Josh Hayes along with Jason and Nick has made this something even more special.
I hope they consider working more together in the future.
All three authors are fantastic alone, but together they form an awesome brotherhood in itself.
I’m not my usual self due to chronic illness. I hope this review makes sense.
Needless to say, I simply loved this tale and hope for more.
I’ll be re-experiencing Stryker’s War via audiobook on Audible because that’s how wonderful it is and my daughter won’t have to interrupt her life to read to me this time.
And I’ll leave this review at Audible too.
It deserves five star ratings across the board.
I wholeheartedly recommend Stryker’s War to anyone that likes super science fiction military style in the Galaxy’s Edge universe.
Thank you all for such bountiful enjoyment!
Sincerely,
Alan McDonald (& daughter Brittany, my blindness composer & narrator)

Another great Galaxys Edge story.

Well it was a great story but I am getting worn out with the whole “Point” or appointed Legion officer storyline. That was a great part of the original series and very realistic but it was overplayed in this book to the level that the major wasn’t even taking steps that would have preserved his own glory. This was a great story in a great series. I gave it four stars because of the over done point issue.

Military sci-fi at it’s best and grittiest

A gritty, lifelike military action drama set in a sci fi universe. It takes the events of a sci fi army and makes them relatable to current military conflicts. Action packed and intelligently written. Warning, the end will hit you right in the feels. Great book about hard fighting soldiers, on an alien world, in a tough, seemingly no win scenario.

The legion saves the day once again and it wasn’t any cakewalk. Great characters — both the ones you loved and the ones you hated. Riveting action story.
