This Thunderbolt 3 Device is Absolutely Amazing, but with some Reservations about many Thunderbolt 3 Devices and their Ability to Work with Windows vs Apple. The NVMe slot is a dream for all Tech savvy users. The Glow Lighting is much more delicate than MOST of the RGB Lighting that has insulted our eyes for years.I have purchased a few TB3 Devices now and have experienced results that are both compelling and appalling with Windows Based PC'S. Finding Software/Firmware that makes these High End Devices work is at Best Obtuse. I Sent my Amazon purchased FireCuda Dock back to the Manufacturer after they could not troubleshoot it over the phone nor even remotely. They said they would replace it but suggested that MSI (my new notebook- Prestige 15 )had updated firmware for TB3.
I had already spent innumerable Hours with MSI, Seagate and Intel.I had earlier sent my Notebook back to MSI together with a smaller TB3 External NVMe SSD and they said it worked fine after resetting Windows (which I had done 3 times myself - with no positive result)
My Daughters Macbook Pro 2020 recognised this device. The New Firmware does not work. I need help right now , like the Luke's Graham Song.

1.0 out of 5 stars Officially licensed? not at all.. it is waste of money

I bought this hard drive for my PS4 after reading that it is officially licensed to PS4, and it stopped working in just 24 hrs of use!!!, it stopped recognising by PS4 as external storage because somehow it started showing capacity on this drive as 144115.2 TB, what a joke!!, see attached photo, I would not recommend this to anyone if some is thinking it is officially licensed for PS4 system and go to buy, it is rubbish.
** its been week i sent the faulty item back I am still waiting to refund***

1.0 out of 5 stars Disque USB3 (mais pas le cable ...)
Reviewed in France on 29 April 2021
Capacity: 4TBStyle Name: External PS4/PS5Verified Purchase

1.0 out of 5 stars Can’t use as it’s unsupported format for PS4
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 March 2021
Capacity: 2TBStyle Name: External PS4/PS5Verified Purchase
This is meant to be compatible with PlayStation but in plugging it in, the device is unsupported in the current format meaning I have to find some way of converting it which I can’t do. Very disappointed considering it’s meant to be an official PlayStation licensed product and especially for the price. Will be returning

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't work with PS4 PRO
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 May 2021
Capacity: 2TBStyle Name: External PS4/PS5Verified Purchase
Ordered this drive as also a victim of having to delete games in order to install new ones. As an I.T. pro for 30 years I thought I'd done my homework. I was wrong !

Three drives later........

Original drive couldn't keep up with playstation when playing games and made gameplay impossible so asked for a replacement.

Second drive worked perfect for about 1 hour before it suddenly started beeping, disconnected itself from console then reset itself to factory settings.

Third drive did almost the same as the first hence demanding a refund.

The problem here is one of two things. Either their is a dodgy batch of hard drives or most likely due to Amazon's packing department.

When all three drives were delivered they only came in a cardboard A3 envelope with NO PROTECTIVE MATERIAL AT ALL.

I have reported this twice to Amazon and have had to factory reset my PS4 after each attempt to install these hard drives which takes about 24 hours to install games just to get my PS4 back to a safe and stable condition.

Why this drive and packaging has the PS4 logo and claims to be officially licensed I have no idea as it simply isn't up to the job and is super fragile to everything. Sony Playstation would never endorse this product !!!

DONT BUY AS WILL CAUSE ISSUES.

1.0 out of 5 stars DONT USE ON PS5

bought this to store ps5 games so i dont have to download them if i come back to them down the line. all seemed to have worked fine until today a few months after i got the item when i plugged it back in to transfer a game back to my main drive. the external drive is totally blank. it had some how wiped off all of my games and save data that was stored there.

to say i am less than happy would be and understatement, cant even get a refund as its been to long. dont waste your money, time and effort. this drive is a waste of it all.

1.0 out of 5 stars Slow as sh!t

Can see why they are sold as "game drives" to console players. They are the binned HDDs that don't make it into normal portable drives or internal 3.5" as the write speed is total carp.

Unless if you get over 250mbps internet, you won't notice on console the game taking longer to download than on a higher-performing drive. So they get away with dumping these slow drives on gamers who probably won't know any better due to their use.

I got 2 of these drives and the first one maxes out at 26MB/s while the second max out at 38MB/s.
For comparison, my WD My Book drives do around 135MB/s write and that is 50% full.
