The firmware is... challenging. Many problems with passwords and logins and updating passwords. Very frustrating and perhaps too difficult for inexperienced users. But now it’s up and running, it’s pretty great.
Fortunately, Amazon have a good returns system but nevertheless, it would be better if the device just worked like it's supposed to.
Also, the SIM card holder is a better design in this model.
Not the cheapest but I’ve had no issues with TPLink products in the past so I was happy to pay the asking price.

Once i connected the device, inserted the sim card and powered it on. The modem was working but the sim card was not recognised by the modem (for information the sim was from an existing Jio dongle that supports LTE and 4G, it works fine on the dongle and Huawei Router).
Then i even tried to troubleshoot through the management backend of the modem as was explained in the manual that is given with the modem in the box. But none of that was of any use. After logging in from the back end, changing the settings and doing all other processes. The were on no use, it kept showing insert sim card.
I tried to remove the sim and re insert it but that made no difference aswell. The led for internet or for the signal strength never showed up. I tried putting the modem in different part of the house just incase the signal strength was weak in the first place. Well that also gave no results. (Also the sim slot and the method to insert the sim is completely non user friendly and requires an additional skill set)
Sorry to say, not worth the money or the effort. Do not buy!...

Edit(9th August 2020, changed from 2 to 4 stars):
There is a beta firmware on their forums you can flash to get manual band selection, which alone has made the purchase worthwhile for me. You can select two bands manually also to get the carrier aggregation combo you desire. Though how long the carrier aggregation remains latched on depends on your carrier and signal strength. It is a welcome addition and hopefully makes it to a stable update soon. Other observations from the previous review remain, and you can still get a phone with 2 band carrier aggregation for about the same price or cheaper and root it to get similar results if you're tech savvy.

I bought 2 of these and a gigabit loadbalancer to setup faster internet at my home, Now within 10 days, I have returned both of these routers. This router has multiple issues in it's hardware and software.
Pros,
1. Easy to install
2. You can get 20-50mbit speeds if your ISP supports Band 3 + 40 or 5+40 and you get good speeds on these bands in this config.
Cons:
1. QoS on this router is a complete joke. They are not doing QoS at all, What they are doing is asking you to enter expected amount of bandwidth and then reserving a percentage of that bandwidth for high/med/low priority users. This is not QoS and since it's a LTE router that you'll be using with a SIM card, You will probably never know the _expected_ speed you'll get at any given point in time. If you enter a higher or lower value than your actual speed, that crops up more issues.
2. IP/MAC Binding or DHCP IP reservation does not works. The DHCP server is unaffected by IP/MAC binding or DHCP IP reservation settings.
3. CPU in this thing is extremely weak. At night, I was able to get 90-100mbit speed in 3+40 config but if I enable Traffic monitor or QoS or any of the _advanced_ features on this device, The bandwidth drops significantly probably because the CPU can't keep up with the traffic and keeping all those features active at the same time.
4. The web UI in this is horrible and has a lot of bugs in Firefox/Safari.
5. The RSSP/RSSQ/SNR values in Advanced->status are refreshed very infrequently and there is no auto refresh in this page. If you are on a roof trying to adjust the antenna so you can get best signal, Doing that with this router is very problematic and takes a lot of time, simply because you aren't getting the updated values fast enough and there is no auto refresh.
6. The LTE modem or which ever other bit is responsible for signal reception is extremely flaky. At one point, You could be getting what I would consider extremely good signals and in a second with no change in the router position or anything, the signal quality gets significantly worse and then gets back to where it was again. This just keeps happening with both of my routers.
7. Setting your APN to use IPv4&IPv6 breaks IPv6 on this device. Some of my clients get IPv6 address, Some don't. Even the clients that do get a IPv6 address can't talk to any IPv6 enabled machine on the internet.
8. Wifi coverage in this router is meh. Don't buy it with high expectations there.
9. There is no support for Bridge Mode although there are hacks around it.
10. The Antennas that come with the router are of poor quality. The plastic of antenna is not attached very well to female SMA connectors so after installing them on the router, the actual antenna still moves freely about +-30 degrees. Just the plastic antenna moves, The actual connection around female SMA port doesn't. This happens on both of routers. This is trouble some as it can effect LTE signal quality.
11. Even though they say, It supports Carrier aggregation and Yes, It does. I have only been able to get CA to work on Band 1+3, 3+5, 3+40, 5+40. Using a old beta firmware from April, I was able to get these CA's working but nothing else works. There is no 40A-40A CA support on this router so careful about that.
12. Router startup takes a lot of time i.e. Around 2-3 minutes.
13. There has been no word on 40A-40A CA support on this device and it's developers have been silent on the issue annd the TP Link forums have not been very helpful.
14. There is no way to save incoming messages to sim card or transfer them all to sim card in one command. If you want to preserve a copy of received messages, The only way is to forward them to another number, one by one. And the UI is so slow. Extremely annoying experience.
Overall, I'd say avoid this device. Get a Huawei device if you don't have issues with made in china or a LTE device made by one of the companies in EU. Skip this. They _may_ fix these issues in V2 hardware version of this device but it's not like they'll replace this crappy V1 version of this device with V2. :/ Skip it, Get something else.

2 Antennas are given for 4G reception only and it is not for WiFi, it can be removed and users can install outdoor 4G antenna for better 4G reception. MR600 creates a Dual Band WiFi network which gives speeds up to 867 Mbps. The two 2.4 and 5 GHz bands provide optimized performance and minimize interference when streaming movies, downloading files, or listening to online music.
Please note 4G+ mode is dependent on the 4G coverage from your local mobile tower and 4G signal strength should be high to achieve 4G+ mode. As I have tested and getting 4G+ on band 3+40 on Airtel and Band 5+40 with JIO.
The only one problem is MR600 currently does not support CA combination with band 40A-40A which Airtel and JIO both are operating in a maximum area of India. The same is reported to the TP-LINK community forum. Let's hope it will be fixed on the next firmware update.
Cons added after 2 months of usage: Pls read it carefully before purchase:-
1. There is no 40A-40A CA support on this router so careful about that. It is supported by the low-cost mobile phone nowadays like Redmi Note 9 Pro / Samsung Galaxy J8 both supports 2CA with 40A-40A combinations.
2. TP-Link R&D team goes into silent mode after reporting this 40A-40A CA support issues. the TP-Link forums are not very helpful at all.
3. CA or 4G+ is not activating automatically after restart. We have to manually set the bands one by one in the Beta firmware which is a big pain for such a costlier Rs.11000 4G+ Router.
3. IPv6 clients are unable to communicate over the internet.
4. Wifi coverage is not that good. Don't buy it with high coverage expectations.
