I also enquired about any .bin file for the older dongles including zte 8700, zte ac2766 etc, but that too is not available according to tp link.It was hard to believe that this excellent router has gone back in terms of compatibility and usability.
hence those who are looking for a router to be used with bsnl evdo will have look else where, probably tenda 4g630 or tenda 4g600 or d303,although i haven't used them personally.
hope tp-link come to their senses and restore the compatibility for which they were known for.

⚙️ PRODOTTO.

Before purchasing I was mach confused digisol or tplink. But now I can say TP-LINK is best.
I think you can use any usb dongle as at presently I am using Micromax mmx300g model which is more than 10years old and is working very fine. I have also checked by using Huawei E8221 dongle. Both micromax mmx300g and huawei E8221 is not on the compatibility list but working very well.
One more thing I want to say that many users commented that we can't use Harddisk for FTP support. But that is wrong, you can connect HDD or pendrive for FTP. As I have used by connecting pendrive and shared some pics as well as screenshots.
There are much more settings you can use in it. Just go for it

Easy to set up & connect. Admittedly my dongle isn't on the short list of compatible dongles.
In fact there is no list for Ireland. The dongle I bought just for this IS okay for UK ISPs, but still it drops.
I bought a normal dongle because I thought my wifi dongle was the culprit (two wifi sources), but it just drops with a minute or two regardless.
I found several instances of this on the web but no actual fix.
