Product description

The 1973 masterpiece from everyone's favorite Texas tornadoes, mastered from the original analog tapes by Kevin Gray and Steve Hoffman, and pressed on 180-gram HQ vinyl. Features all original packaging. Highlights include "La Grange", "Jesus Just Left Chicago", and "Waitin' For The Bus". With their revved up blues 'n' boogie, ZZ Top always make the most of their Texas birthright with a distinctive sound that shakes up rock, blues, soul, garage-funk, Americana, and more. Nowhere is their force of nature musicianship better displayed than on this classic.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing reissue of a great album by Warner Bros.

I've had this Vinyl LP for some months now and have only just got around to writing this product review. I think I've held off as I wanted to be positive about this album, but in truth I can't, as it's really disappointing. It's one of my favourite ZZ Top albums, but in this reissued version it's flat, dull and uninvolving. I own albums that were pressed in the early to mid 1970's that sound vastly superior to this. It's a shame but I won't be keeping it and will look for a 70's pressed version elsewhere. No problem with Amazon, this is down to the manufacture.
