Decent ANC headphone for the budget

Pros: High value; good sound quality; good noise cancellation - key of this headphone
Cons: Not ideal for sports; relatively heavy

Given the pros and cons I think this is a headphone that serves its purpose well. I mean to use it at home, on transportation, and in office. So sports performance doesn't matter to me and I don't think over the head headphone is good for sport anyway...The most impressive pro is the human voice sound quality, I personally can't tell much difference between this one and Bose QC25 and Sony wf-1000xm3 is only slightly better, the background has a tiny bit hype but won't bother me. The call quality is decent, but I only made one call in the office, haven't tried on the street. But it claims to have a noise cancellation microphone, so I believe it should be ok. The battery life lasts a couple of days for me. Generally, I feel it's like a budget version of Bose QC35 with good value.

Overall 8/10 from me.

BUYER-DOWNUNDER

Randomly RESTARTS - returning, low price is not worth the trouble

The headphone auto restarts a few times every hour, which is very annoying and unsuitable for my usage.

For example, when I am working and listening to music (connected to my Windows 10 Surface Pro), it would periodically turn itself off (even when the battery if full), then after few seconds, turn on again and reconnects. During the time it auto turned off and again turned on, the music goes off from the PC speaker. Which is very disturbing to others around. Also, not a good situation when I am in a meeting.

Contacted seller for support, they sent back a canned response for clearing the memory. Followed those anyways, but no improvement.

Returning will be buying a reputed brand with more price. The money saved with this one is not worth the trouble it is causing.

If you're looking for a solid noise cancelling headphones for a decent price, these are it.
I'm really pleased and pleasantly surprised with these headphones, this product is excellent for its price level. The materials use to make the headphones have high quality. The design is very unique which makes the wearing very comfortable even for hours. The sound is very good. The noise cancellation works great. You can tell the obvious difference when you switch on and off of the function. Compared to hundreds of dollars for a pair of headphones, this product has excellent value for money. I definitely recommend it!

A bit disappointed - description misleading

Happy with these headphones as far as sound quality and noise cancellation goes.

However, the description is misleading so I’m taking off a star for that. It clearly says upgraded to USB-C, but I received the inferior micro-USB version - it has the same model number advertised in description. I contacted Amazon and they advised to return it and order another one. I wasn’t convinced that I wouldn’t just get another micro-USB one, but was assured that since they have noted on the return that that’s why I’m returning it the new one sent out will be sure to be checked to make sure it’s the correct one. Well sure enough the replacement one is also micro-USB. I will keep it, as I’m happy with everything else, but just wanted to make others aware they seem to have old stock and new stock and it’s the luck of the draw which version you get, as it appears from some of the q&a’s that some people have received USB-C while others have received micro-USB. They really shouldn’t be advertising it as USB-C while simultaneously sending out inferior micro-USB and using the same model number.

**Update** I returned the second micro-USB headphones and ordered third (Boxing Day deal had them for $75) and third time lucky - I received USB-C headphones. Very happy with purchase.

I fly a lot with work, and earbuds hurt my ears after a while. I got these because they got good reviews, and offered good value for money. At first i was a little dissapointed with the sound deadening, as it didnt seem to work all that well. However, when i was on the plane, i was pleasantly surprised at how well they blocked out the drone from the plane. It is quite noticable.

Overall happy with my purchase, and do the trick on the plane. Kinda sad that they are still using micro usb though, in a day and age where type C is almost standard.

ok, so I already own SONY WHCH700NB and wasn't happy with the noise cancelling bit so, decided to buy something better with decent noise cancelling. Seeing all the five star reviews of TaoTronics I decided to jump in as I didn't want to spend $350 for the top of the range SONY or BOSE (with the best noise cancelling).

While the noise cancelling is good with this pair of TaoTronics, it didn't live up to my expectations. Also, I had to jack up audio level to 5 (half way) to get clear audible audio (I've a bit of deafness so, this could be the reason). Finally I ended up buying used Bose QuietComfort 35 II as I really didn't want to spend $350 on new ones. After comparing Bose with my current Sony WHCH700NB and TaoTronics, I must say the noise cancelling and audio are outstanding with Bose headphones. I gave away my TaoTronics to my daughter and she really loves them. She loves the noise cancelling and the audio quality.

Despite all of this I must say the customer care from TaoTronics was EXCEPTIONAL. They followed-up post sale to find out if everything was ok with the headphones and if I had any issues. When I replied with my observations (as per above) they offered me a full refund if I wanted to return them or some discount if I wanted to keep it. I opted for the refund. Very happy to see TaoTronics care about their customers.

Overall if you are on a tight budget, this is the best headphones you could buy.

Incredible sound, great value!

At almost $100 the Soundsurge 90 is an incredible catch for the quality and performance it provides, easily matching other “brand name” ANC BT headphones at 3 times the price. The music is warm and does not over-boost the bass (and subsequently muffling the trebles) as many headphones/earphones tend to do. The sound separation is remarkable.

Multi-axis adjustable headphones make the fit very comfortable. The clamp is not too strong making it very comfortable for long periods of wear. The soft pads sit comfortably on my ears providing a good seal and effective passive noice-cancelling.

A single push toggles the ANC off and on. A pleasant voice will tell you whether the ANC is on or off. Great at cutting out the sound of traffic and the vacuum cleaner whilst still being able to hear conversations. A mildly annoying feature (and I'm really picking on details now) is the ANC defaults to “On” each time you turn on the headphones. You have to switch it off each time as it doesn’t remember your last setting. It is however, a very minor oversight and a personal preference for me. Most might prefer the ANC defaulting to "On".

The Soundsurge 90 is an excellent product at a reasonable price. It has exceeded my expectations on what a reasonably priced ANC BT headphone can do without breaking the bank. I cannot recommend it highly enough. You won’t regret it.

My headphones arrived 2 days early from the expected delivery date…Yeah!!

Well, I really like the hard-carrying case that come with the package. The headphones are quite lightweight and comfortable to wear for long hours. They are also big enough to completely cover my ears and hold relatively well.

These headphones are easy to use, I am not a tech-savvy guy and I can just use it without having to refer to the instruction guide. The sound quality is clear and the ANC feature of these headphones works quite well. You can really feel the difference especially after trying it when my wife was vacuuming the house.

I guess the only cons I have for these headphones is that they only come in black. My wife said to me that she would also want get a pair of them if they come in red...

I bought these for my son for schoolwork during lockdown. The bluetooth only pairs to one device at a time, which is disappointing as he frequently switches from iPad to computer. The active noise cancelling is ok, but not great, though battery life is excellent. I’ve four other name brands of ANC headphones and these are probably comparable to my 10yo Audio Technica set - they don’t hold a candle to Bose or Sony, but then, nor does the price tag.

I have been considering purchasing new headphone for a while. Compared to the top of the range that are available on the market, these stack up really well. The battery life is great, the sound quality is amazing and the noise cancellation is pretty darn good too. The super soft padding makes them comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. As an entry level bluetooth headphones with noise cancelling ability, I didn't expect too much of it because I would normally use it to listen to audiobooks or news. But it did surprise me. The controls are intuitive to find and to use. It has a good quality for playing music and personally I like the sound it produces. In terms of noise cancellation, I can't say it just stops the noise, but it does make me hardly hear any more background noise. The earcups are soft and comfortable, its weight is a little bit heavy but it's not a problem when I get used to it after a couple of hours. Generally speaking, it's totally worth the money.
