Almost exact copy of the original

Strange that roost designer did not feel worth patenting, so almost identical to the roost original at less than 1/4 the price. Bought both for comparison. Original seems overpriced:
- Roost a little bit sturdier
- Roost 10 year warranty vs 1 year
Thus Roost mainly paying for good will on R&D.

Using with Surface Laptop, so material and bevel edge of Surface mean laptop slips from claws if tipped.

Was searching for a portable laptop stand as I using laptop and surface pro a lot and the screen is too low, causing neck pain and tired. Found Roost, I don't own nor ever seen the Roost Stand in person, but from Video, I would say this would probably be a 1:1 copy of the Roost Stand. Unlike Nextstand K2, Nextstand has same design but different height and size. But this one, this one is STURDY, light weight and comfy to use. Would even buy some as gift to friends considering the price and practical it is :)

The highest height is comfortable where your eyes look straight to ur screen while I use a wireless keyboard and mouse on the desk, more comfortable.
The lowest height is still comfortable height with a comfortable height and angle laptop keyboard for typing :)

PS: I am using a DELL Precision 5530 (15") - same size as XPS 15. Still felt very sturdy.

Fussy to open but you can nail it and it has amazing ergonomics

There is only one extraordinarily precise method for opening and closing this fussy engineering marvel. Opening this incorrectly will result in an awkward grinding stop and/or shattering of the mechanism, but once you have the magic opening flourish down pat it is an amazing ergonomic wrist-saver. I hate having to tilt my neck down when I use the laptop without this stand. The stand could be 3-5cm higher but it is a life saver if you don't have a desktop-height monitor available. Save your neck and buy it?

Lightweight and effective laptop stand

I typically use this on the lowest of the three (3) settings. Haven't found a use for the higher settings yet.
It is lightweight and I don't even notice it in my backpack. It seems to be made of plastic, but this is actually a positive from a weight perspective. Haven't noticed any downsides from the materials yet.
Seconds to set up and fold away. It is not as complicated as it may appear.
This stand allows me to avoid hunching over my laptop.
Used this for about a month now.

Only qualm had is with the rubber feet that holds the laptop, looks like it isn't glued on well but its not a worry (more of an aesthetic thing). Would highly reccomend if you're looking for a well built and portable laptop-stand.

Only time will tell how robust the stand is, but I've had no problems with quality so far. Yes, it's a knock-off of the American original - but I guess it wasn't copyrighted, which make it your win.
