I am trully an inexperienced user when it comes to soldering and due to that had destroyed my tip on the soldering iron. I was struggling to solder because the heat would not transfer and the solder just did not take to the parts being soldered. You can see the bad condition of my tip in the first photo. I know, I know, the professionals are looking in horror.
After watching a few video on Youtube I realised I needed to re-tin the tip if I wanted to have any success with soldering. After much trying, the tip would just not tin. I bought this product after seeing a video on using a tip tinner.
The stuff is like magic and I just dipped the tip in and pulled it out and even that bad tip was tinned and what a differece it made to soldering. I feel like a pro now!
