This book wasn't bad I enjoyed the idea I enjoyed the world but it was a little too short for me to really get into it. I didn't really start to care about the characters even the main one, there wasn't much about her that we learnt. So 3.5 from me.
I really enjoyed the story, I was a bit dubious when I realised that it was so short. But I have to say, I've never read a book that has managed to squish all the story in a short space and be lacking in very little. I do still however wish that there was a little more, more getting to know the lands, the people, more than just the main plot movement to build a picture and a bond to this world. It was very straight to the point but we'll written. But overall I enjoyed it and I will be purchasing the next one for sure!!!
The story could use some more meat on it and the characters more development. Having said this i read it all in one sitting and was disappointed the next in the series isnt out yet, i will definutely be looking for it. The concept is a good one and the writing done well, if a little short. Worth a read.
A good short read which is very interesting, I really enjoyed the characters and the deceit the Heroine has to undertake to complete her task by lying to the Prince of the Court of Dreams and steal The Dragons Heart. Looking forward to more of the story and I hope she can gain her freedom and maybe fall in Love at the end
I need MORE! I cannot believe how short it was. It was a kindle edition so it’s not kick I can feel the pages haha! So I was more than shocked when I finished it!!!!! I mean bravo Bec, a way to leave us all on a cliff hanger!!!!
I enjoyed this novella, as I do all of this author's works, but really felt that it should have been a full-length novel. There was a distinct lack of world building and character development that are found in her other novels. Everything was too rushed, and while I was able to follow the plot, I was also left with the distinct feeling that I was missing crucial information that the author assumes the reader already knows about her characters. This idea behind this series is good; I just wish Ms. McMaster had taken the time to flesh this out a little more like her other series. She has such a wonderful imagination, and I always enjoy reading her works; this one just fell a little short for me and left me feeling as though the book could have been SO much more than it is. All that said, I did enjoy it enough and am intrigued enough to purchase the second book when it is released.
One of the best opening of the series ever! I've so fallen crazy in love with this world and the HEA couple: Prince Keir and Zemira! Prince Keir of the Court of Dreams was officially in search of a bride but in truth? Only Zemira knew his true goal . . . his secret! This novella lured me in with dazzling and wicked baits and I was hopelessly hooked! The most intriguing puzzle was that neither the Prince nor Zemira was who they appeared to be. Well, now that I thought more about it, this puzzle could apply to other characters, too!
I'm dying to read the next and next book! Looking forward to super amazing events to explode and the truths to be revealed! And for myself to be blown away! Yes! I'm definitely looking at a Fantastic Fantasy!
