This whole series had me hooked from the first page, and looking back at the incredible journey this story took me through blows my mind. Hades is #goals, a smart, strong bad a b. I loved how she maintained her Hades persona throughout the whole series, allowing vulnerability to show through but ultimately being true to her identity. Nothing enrages me more than a seeming bad as s turning in to a mushy weakling because a few guys give her the d.
The guys though. Their character development was so enjoyable and gah, are they sexy as hell or what!? I could literally feel their jealousy and alphaness (yes that's a word now) pouring off them.
An emotional rollercoaster for sure, and one I will ride again just to revisit this dark depraved world of power, greed, bloodlust and raw sexual energy. Some of those scenes could make a girl blush (to clarify I am not one of those girls)

Wow! Tate James has blown me away! Such a satisfying end to an intense and riveting series. If you like dark, twisted romance packed with thrilling violence, this is the series for you. Just be sure to read the trigger warnings. This fourth instalment goes to some very disturbing places, so it is not for everyone.

This series centres around Hades, the badass bitch who rules the town from the shadows. But her citadel of crime begins to topple when a ghost from the past returns with a vengeance. The only way she can win this war is by depending upon the people who love her. But who can she trust when she is surrounded by traitors?

This is by far the most erotic of the books in the series. The heat level is off the charts! I will admit that the gratuity got a bit much for me. I’m no prude by any means but reading variations of the same scenes over and over does lead to page-skipping. Even so, I thoroughly loved the rest of this story and am keen to read more books by this author.

What a epic story writer Tate is, she has smashed it like nothing before, this series just shocked and sucked me in every step of the way and man did Hades kick arse. Every book was epic just wow, Tate just gets better and better and ya think she's epic and then somehow she goes to the next level just wicked skills, what a wicked strong kick arse story Hades is and all that she and her crew go through just made for an amazing series and this end book wrap up was full on arrggg scary heart breaking in parts but damn perfectly wickedly put together. Hades rocks her awesome friends, her family and lovers made for an amazingly, strong arse kicking story, fully recommend reading this series Tate smashed it hmmm just wow loved it, enjoy peoples. I have loved this series since book 1. In fact maybe I liked it better than the Madison Kate series ... or maybe that's because I've read it more recently. Regardless, I've been waiting not so patiently for this book since the cliffhanger at the end of book 3.

Of course I knew there would be an explanation, and there was. I don't think I was quite prepared for the first part of this book, definitely some triggers there, and I was happy to get to the end of that section. The rest of the book though, was great.

So next up, The Guild series. I don't always like connected universe series unless the author is particularly good, and I definitely will be giving the new series a read.

I think with all endings and the way they go this one made me think about my own morals and what I’d have done in that situation.
Which is ridiculous because I’m not a character in a book. But as all endings go you base it on your own idea of what you would have done.

It sat uneasy for me personally. Not for the authors writing or anything like that. It just wouldn’t be what I imagined I metaphorically would have done in her shoes. Again shoes that I’ve never worn and never will hahaha.

Another amazing read.

Can’t wait for the next one. 🥰

Wow...... what a book...... what a ending to a series!!!!!

Tate has just out done herself in the final Hades series. The character growth and struggles( more than fking struggles really) through this book and series has made it one of my favourites.

Hades was a fantastic character even with the crap she was dealt and went through. Loved how her guys and friends helped her through things aswell as to show herself she is strong and powerful.

Just absolutely loved this series and looking forward to reading the next series in this universe.

This world -with all of its characters is truly memorable. The series has taken us on a roller coaster of action, twists, turns and oh those cliffhangers 😱
At times I was uncomfortable & questioned Hades mega shagging, after the trauma she had been through- but I had to remind myself she is not a normal heroine- wired by her past, and is forging her future her way. For this I was Thankful to the author remaining true to her character.
A gutsy heroine- with her trio of perfect mates. Lucas, Zed and Cass -they brought out different sides of Hades, I loved the banter between them all, and how the ending tied up all the story threads
A great series- I hope we see glimpses of these characters in future stories from the Shadow Grove world.

Great finish to this series, had it all, dark and twisty turns, brutality, love, humour, character growth, loss, sweet moments and plenty of spice. Feels like all of Shadow Grove make cameos in this giving it that wonderful sense of finality whilst leaving plenty of space to speculate what comes next in all their lives. It shocked me how attached I'd become to some of the supporting characters without even knowing it. This just shows how well Tate develops her characters even if they don't have a major part in the story. Looking forward to the next series in this world.

Ok, first and foremost, it is important to note that there is a content warning/trigger warning at the beginning of the book, *before* chapter 1. There are dark themes/scenarios in this book that some people could find troubling, and the content *does* get dark. There are people out there that, even aware of these warnings, have found the content to be dark and upsetting, which has impacted on their enjoyment of the book. That being said, I personally feel that there is enough of a build up/lead in throughout the previous 3 books that most of the occurrences depicted aren't surprising in the least, and that Tate has prepared us for this level of darkness.
Now, on to the book. Hades has been backed into a corner, and is doing everything she can to protect those she loves, and those who depend on her. Unfortunately, she doesn't succeed with this every time, and we lose some loved secondary/minor characters. Betrayal is everywhere, a knife in the back is lurking around every darkened corner, and you have to wonder how Hades will emerge through this.
As per usual, Tate wraps up her series with a satisfying conclusion, but threads are still left dangling and unanswered. Is this frustrating for a reader? In some ways, yes, but as Tate herself acknowledges, life doesn't always tie things up with a neat bow. Questions are left unanswered a lot, and we just have to deal with it the best we can and move forward. I felt that the major threads were dealt with, and that Hades' story arc has been concluded to a very satisfying end.
I read this book in a single sitting, as I couldn't bear to put it down, not even for sleep. There was content that many would feel uncomfortable with, but I think Tate did a masterful job dealing with it all. If you want a pretty, happy, sparkly love story, this book isn't for you. But if you enjoy reading about a strong MC who endures her worst nightmare, struggles to make it through to the other side, but manages to do so even though they slip and fall multiple times? Read this book. You won't be disappointed.

Not only was this so good and soooo blood thirsty and omg all the sex!
It’s books like this I wish RH was more open and not just in these books but yeah it’s the best kinda fantasy any RH lover can enjoy.
Madison Kate had it lucky with her three amazing sex gods and now Hades has her three stallions.

I’m gonna miss Hades and her story.

The beauty about this series is you could see potential stories for a few of these characters and I hope we are bloody lucky it happens too

I have so much I want to say about this book, so much, but I also don’t want to spoil anything for anyone.

This book is perfection. Everything about it. And it is thiccccccc! Full of juicy goodness. It’s non stop all the way through, with some darker elements, so if you have triggers then just make sure you heed the TW before embarking on this final chapter.

But I still stand by what I’ve said previously, Hades and the guys (coughdaddycasscough) have definitely took the lead from MK for me. I love these books so much and I’m sad their story is over, but at the same time, I can’t wait to see who’s next. What I also love is that you end up falling in love with all the other characters throughout the books too, I now have a list of stories I’d like to see 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

Anyway.. it’s taken my 5 days to write this “kinda” review, and just as long to be able to look at another book. Timber broke me in all the best ways.
