Does not work with Raspberry Pi 4
Reviewed in the United States on 12 December 2019Colour: 7 Inch IPS Touch ScreenVerified Purchase
I will update this review if I can ever get it to work. I purchased it to use with a Raspberry Pi 4 running Raspbian Buster. It had great reviews so I figured it would work right out of the box. I was wrong. No matter what I try it will not work. I get a ‘no signal’ box in the middle of the screen. In the description it says it will work on the Raspberry Pi 4 with no additional drivers needed. That couldn’t be farther from the truth. I’ve tried everything I can think of (and lots of suggestions online). Nothing seems to work. I left a question and hope the manufacturer or someone that has it working on the Pi 4 will answer it with instructions. Until then I can not give this more than 1 star.

Works on my Pi4
Reviewed in the United States on 13 January 2020Colour: 7 Inch IPS Touch ScreenVerified Purchase
Screen so far works great, looking to use this unit as an in-car entertainment system and car diagnostic/tuning hub ("PiDash" w/ OpenAuto, and TunerStudio).
Since it's going into the center console of my car, having the viewing angles and higher resolution is key. This screen looks great, better than most dedicated in car head units I've seen. Colors are vibrant, and it supports a high refresh rate of 75Hz. The touch input is slightly off, but as some mentioned, there is most likely a way to calibrate it.
I had trouble initially with the "no signal" but it boiled down to the OS I was running on the Pi4. It seemingly would not negotiate the resolution for the screen size on boot up with Ubuntu Server 19.10 for Pi4. Once I plugged a 1080p Philips monitor into the Pi4 on bootup, then plugged the UCTRONICS monitor in, the display would work. I ended up ditching Ubuntu server 19.10, and threw Raspbian on and have not had a problem since.
Very happy with the purchase so far!

Pi 3 B+, works out of the box, but customer service sux

I like the HDMI connector has the correct polarity for a direct connection to the Pi3 board. The resolution works with existing defaults in the OS, and performance is nice. Clean image of desktop and very bright.
Now the bad news... I tried to find out how to change the display brightness. I looked for technical docs, none. I looked for videos about it, not found. I contacted their support via chat, he said I must give him a phone number to get the information. What kind of crap is this?? I was there in chat, looking for a link to download documentation about my very simple "brightness adjustment" question, and the "only" way to get that information is via a phone call?? DON'T buy this device if you want it to function fully. Not happy!!

Perfect when you don't have room for a big monitor.
Reviewed in the United States on 24 November 2019
Works great for my mining rig, no monitor needed. Very happy with it, you can easily see and make changes without connecting a huge monitor. Touch screen eliminates the need for mouse and keyboard and instead of having a large monitor or trying to rdp all the time I can just take a quick look and make sure everything is running as it should.

An Excellent Screen for Multiple Applications
Reviewed in the United States on 29 March 2020Colour: 7 Inch IPS Touch ScreenVerified Purchase
I bought this screen to use for Octoscreen a 3D printer software running on Raspberry pi 4. Its is a seven inch screen with an HDMI connection. It is powered through micro usb via the supplied cable. Other micro usb cable don't work probably due to difference in internal wiring which is a shame as the length of the provided cable is really short. It also comes with HDMI to HDMI adapter, an HDMI female to micro HDMI cable, and a comprehensive user manual. The touch sensitivity is good and the colours are vivid and bright. The screen is glued to the PCB which has 4 mounting holes making it easy to fix. The practical application for this screen are endless due to the full size HDMI connection the only limitationbeing the micro usb power connection short cable. Anyway it does works out of the box but for Octoprint OS, drivers are required but the instructions are clearly stated in the manual. Overall it is a great screen for the price and the customer service of Uctronics is nothing short of excellent. I highly recommend this screen
