The cable seems well made and of good quality (metal-cased plugs with gold plated connectors etc) and I have found no problem with hiss or hum, and though I was concerned about the durability of the thin flat cable, I have been using it almost daily without issue so far.
My only complaint is that I certainly don't find the cable "tangle free" as advertised. Everytime I unroll and use it, the rubbery cover material catches on itself and just about everything else it comes into contact with.
I think, being thin and flat, it would be very good where an inconspicuous permanent cable run is required (eg under carpet) but not so good for portable situations where it may tend to catch on itself and everything else.
