This has a bit more clearance to miss the housing of our TV. Originally purchased another right angled cable and the first did not clear the plastic TV housing and did not connect, and this one works fine. Best advice when purchasing these cables is to check that it will fit in the location on the TV - a little fiddly when it is on the wall but worth it to make sure it will fit.

I bought this cable (3m) as we have recently bought a TV bed (Tokyo model from Dreams) and I was not sure how much clearance there was at the back of the TV as it was rising and lowering and obviously didn't want it getting caught in the mechanism as it was operating. I also needed a sufficient length of cable to allow for the same rise and fall, and also to reach the Sky Q mini box which sits in a shelf in the middle of the bed frame on the side of the bed.

This cable was perfect, and the 90 degree connection meant that the amount of HDMI lead jutting out of the back of the telly was smaller than if I had had to have the 'flat' style of cable. Picture quality remains great too.

I read somewhere that expensive HDMI cables are a waste of money. Because HDMI is digital it either works or it doesn't. There is really no such thing as a "high quality" HDMI cable. So I didn't want to spend too much. These cables allowed me to save space at the back of my amp at a very reasonable price - so just what I wanted.

NB. Look carefully at the HDMI sockets on the back of your amp, TV or whatever and figure out which way you want the cable to go. The 90 degree ones go in the opposite direction to the 270 degree ones. Make sure you order the correct ones for your needs.

I bought this UGreen 2m HDMI lead to connect my PC to a set of Philips Fidelio speakers as the Bluetooth connection was problematic. This is a good value cable with gold coloured plugs which fit snugly and which feature flexible strain relief. I found the 90 degree angled plug perfect for ensuring the cable fits the speaker socket but keeps out of sight by exiting downwards. The cable itself is quite thick but appears well screened and flexible. I've been using this lead for a while now and the overall performance has been fine.

Recently decided to wall mount the bedroom LCD TV but once TV was in place, noticed my first mistake, TV was too close to the wall so my older HDMI cable did not fit without a 'not as designed' 90 degree crease. My second mistake was checking locally first for a 90 degree HDMI cable, for the price you would think I was putting a deposit on a new TV.

Quick search led me to this cable. Nice quality, gold plated for better image quality and the 90 degree molded connector allows a secure fit in a small space without worrying the cable might come lose (as per 90 degree adaptors).

Certainly browse around HDMI leads as at the price some charge you would think the cable was made from solid gold!

Functions OK but....

No criticism of the function but it does not achieve what I expected because it still protrudes too much (practically 20mm) to let the 'cable cover' fit on the back of the Panasonic TV. Without making accurate measurements and producing a drawing it difficult to explain why. Point 1 is that the plastic nose around the metsal sheath of the plug is too big to enter the hole in the TV cover; I think it should because that limits the depth of insertion of the connection. If it did I doubt it would reduce the protrusion by more than 1mm. Point 2: The main contributor to the protrusion is the length of the angled leg, 8.5mm which in my case is 7mm longer than it need be. Point 3 is that the whole plastic body is excessively bulky. The overall depth of the plastic body is a good 19 mm. To get the cable cover on it would have to be less than 10 mm. Summing up: It is great for general tidyness or 'wall mounting' the TV but don't expect to be able to fit the cable trim cover. NB Mr Panasonic.
